:+: Fine after rain :+:

So much for spending my weekend being ill . Whatever plans I had in mind had to be squashed & I never slept so much & drank so much water for a while now . I was recuperating in bed since Thurs ever since I was infected with some mysterious virus & I'm not even talking about the dreaded monthly issue that ladies go though every month .

I don't know what happened even up to now . I could have blame the weather for all I care but I suspect there's something more than that . So far that's the scariest 4 days I endured for the year . It felt like I was staring into death at times during the period when I was sick .

This might not happened to others but during the times when I'm ill , be it down with a flu or somethign else , when I sleep , I tend to dream of the strangest things possible like the numerous levels of hell & the worst thing was that I personally thought I was in hell itself . It's even more scary than watching some horror movies in some dim lighted cinemas .

I had a few brushes with death & there was 1 incident I remembered real clearly . I was crossing the road , walking towards Orchard Emerald . I was reading the latest HOT magazine that I bought & I just crossed the road where the traffic lights were .

Obviously since I was engrossed in the magazine , I didn't looked up . It was only until I realised while walking , on why there were cars zipping past me & then I looked up & to my horror , the green man hasn't lighted up on the traffic light yet & the red man's still standing there :O

Woah I know , I was walking without realising that I could have been knocked down by some incoming vehicles . I shuddered whenever I recalled that incident & since then , whenever I crossed the road , I always looked up & don't looked down the road .

I just hope that I can make a full recovery in due time . My mum said that I was as pale as a sheet on Sat when I had a fever . I haven't had a fever for quite a long time already . The most common sickness I get is flu so it was a big slap on my face when I got a fever over the weekend .

I'm still feeling feverish at times & the strange time's that I always get it in the afternoons & not at night . Why I have no idea , at all .

& since this morning , a scent of perfume has been lingering on & off in my room which's quite eerie & not to mention none of my family uses perfume . I have a few perfume bottles stacked up nicely on top of the computer desk & it's definitely not me who bothered to take the time to spray any perfume in my room . Can someone say this's quite high on the paranormal rating ? Only time will tell .

On a happy note , happy birthday Jun Xiang who turned 16 yesterday woo . I just wonder what will happen when he crossed the 18 & 21 mark haha

Wow today's birthdays galore . I was talking to Weng Yew eariler on & he told me that today's his dad & his ex's birthdays !

For my case , I know of 2 people who're celebrating their birthdays today . 1st's my maternal grandma & 2nd's Daniel . Happy birthday to 1 & all :)

I think there's a bug floating around somewhere cos I was ill on Thurs & Fri . I was feeling quite blah on Thurs & I thought if I were to sleep & walk up early for tomorrow , the bug will go away .

Big mistake I made as the bug was still persistant & refused to get outta my immune system so I had enough of it & decided to take medication & just sleep in early yesterday & now I'm feeling better thank goodness . Luckily the weekend's here or else I can't be damned to go to school in a sick kinda manner .

The weather's probably the cause of it . It was so scorching hot yesterday in the afternoon , you probably can fried an egg if you cracked 1 on the pathway to fry it & then at night it poured like crazy . I'm a bit scared of the thunder & I shuddered last night .

I'm still thinking of what to do over the weekend . Maybe I go watch Koda Kumi's Live Tour '05 DVD that I bought from HMV HK . I only managed to watch disc 2 & not disc 1 which's a bit stupid on my part but I see how things goes . I already watched her secret live & her Live Tour '06 & I enjoyed both discs very much .

This's another be another cheem / life reflections post once again but after I stumble upon my new friend Jun Xiang's blog where he tries to update on a regular basis , I can't help but feel sorry for him .

Not in a pity boo hoo kinda manner but what he's going though as a teenager reminded me of when I was once 1 . Some teens managed to get though teenhood without much hassle . I wasn't so lucky . In fact I considered my teenhood to be rather hellish , especially during my secondary school years .

I was a misfit in primary & secondary school . Secondary school was crap especially since I was from a mixed school where you get your standard ah beng , ah lian in the mix . Primary school was equally sucky since I used to be in a rather influential girls school but the people I mixed with were 2 faces bitches who cared nothing more than $ & it doesn't help matters that financially , I'm not up there as some people in school .

People picked on me physically , emotionally , mentally & then some . When I was a kid , I couldn't understand why all this were happening to me . I can't even tell my parents what was going on especially at that time , things in the family were quite chaotic & not to mention going to school & being/coming back at home were 2 identical situations for me to face .

I was a misfit & still am but I'm just grateful that somehow along the way , I managed to find solace in music which practically saved me from going insane & having suicide thoughts & also when I went to ITE after my O levels , the next 2 years I spent there were the best of my life where I met people who treated me for who I'm & not what I'm & it was also around this time I got to know someone who in time to come became an extremely positive influence on me & my well being .

He has taught me so much in life & I cannot express how much I own/owe to him . He doesn't read my blog but for people who has followed my blog for a very long time , you probably know who I'm talking about & I'm still pals with him even up to this day .

The reason why I'm writing all this is due to in today's TODAY article , they ran a story on Electrico & on their new song titled Everybody's Here which's available for free download via http://www.everybodyshere.sg/ & the band's comeback song was written by Dave & it was written for youths or anybody who feels lost , desolated , low in self-esteem , in despair , basically all the negative things people faced .

I can totally identify with the lyrics that Dave wrote . Besides I was once a teen myself . All I can say's to teens who're in the same plight as my dear friend Jun Xiang , do not lose hope even in the most bleakest situation that you're in .

There's always a way out as long as you seek help if you're in a pickle . It's pointless to suffer in slient alone . You're not the only 1 in this , there're many people who probably share the same plight/problems as you're . As long as you reach out to be or to a helping hand , there's hope for you .

Wow I haven't update in here for a week . Now that's a 1st . A lot of things has happened since my last update .

Let me see ... I purchased 2 more DVDs from HMV HK 2 weekends ago & they both came last weekend but I wasn't at home so I had no choice but to collect them on Mon . I watched 1 of them on the day that I collected . I really like what I saw . I plan to watch the other one probably tomorrow or over the weekend .

At the moment I'm done with buying things online because the items that I purchased online are things that I'm unable to get in S'pore . Somemore I'm a bit broke at the moment so to that sucker who told my mum about it , looks like no more inside reporting will be reported to my mum for now .

I'm so relieved that I'm going to complete the final part of the EBusiness Case Study ! Part 2 was a bit of a nightmare but thank goodness I got that over & done with . I think by tomorrow , I'll be able to finish the last part of the case study !

I let my lecturer had a look at it this morning before the lecture was about to start & he said I'm missing a webpage but other than that , it's ready for submission woo

I hope this will mean that I will get extra marks for early submission ! I hope that's the case but at the end of the day , it doesn't matter to me . What matters to me is that I got it over & done with .

Yesterday I ran more than any day that I could remembered in my entire life . I hate running more than anything else but yesterday oh man , I 1st ran for the bus at the interchange as there's no way I'm willing to wait for 15 mins for the next bus to arrive .

When I alighted at the bus stop that's a few mins walk away from my house , I noticed it started to pour & being such a lazy person to begin with , I can't be bothered to use my umbrella so I ran like a madwoman from the bus stop all the way to my house . At that time my dad doesn't know it was about to pour .

That was more running & exercise that I did whenever I go to the gym & I don't want that thing to happen to me again !

Normally I'm quite a mellow person by nature but when comes to the time of the month , I will blow up big time real easily & that happened just now .

I download stuff from blogs & there's 1 blog which I go from time to time & sometimes I cannot stand the blog's author's comments .

I mean what's the point in uploading music/videos on your blog & then trash the artiste's material in the comment section ? it doesn't make sense to me & it defeats the whole purpose of uploading the artiste's material in the 1st place .

I got quite pissed & left 4 messages on her tagboard ticking her off regarding this matter . This's not the 1st time that she has done such a thing . It's practically all the time especially whenever she upload stuff by an artiste that she doesn't like but I do like .

Anyway the messages that I left on her tagboard are not filled with vulgarity & the likes . Rather I just tell her to watch her words as I'm sure I'm not the only 1 who feels offended on what she said & also I gave a suggestion to her in that in future , if she wants to upload material from that particular artiste , why not just upload it & don't comment , period .

If not , make things simpler , don't upload future material from the artiste which probably will make the blog author's life less complicated . I could be a real bitch & just threatened the crap outta her but I don't want to cross the line for now .

The same thing goes for my music blog . I will only review & talk about my fave artistes . It doesn't make sense to me if I were to review about some X & Y artistes that I don't like & I trash them on my blog which frankly is pathetic & lame .

Because at the end of the day , you don't know who's reading your blog as everything's all online for any person to read it & you never know that what you write in your online diary might rub the person the wrong way .

Ahhh I'm so super duper happy now . I found out that The Click Five are coming back to Asia to perform in the months to come & they're gonna stage their 1st major full length tour/concerts in the Asian region .

They will be touring Hong Kong , Taipei , Seoul , Manila , S'pore (YES) , Jakarta & KL starting from 20th May onwards .

According to their MySpace tour schedule , the dates & venues are as follows :

ahhh I'm so stoked about this & I really didn't expect that they will be coming back to Asia so soon & not to mention a full length concert which's like double YAYness !

A big wow over the great news I say & to think it seems like yesterday when they were still in S'pore performing at MOS . In case you don't know , they were in S'pore last Oct .

So far I don't know what're the prices of the tickets are like . SISTIC hasn't really released any details about it yet since it's still a long way more to go but I think in due time the media will update more details regarding this .

& wow June 1st ? That's surprising , I don't think I've seen a major big concert that's gonna be held on a Sun . Usually concerts will tend to be held on other days aside from Sun's .

I'm gonna make myself free on June 1st despite the fact that it's still about 3 months + before the actual concert starts but woo I so can't wait to see Click Five perform again . Only this time , it's on a even bigger & more grand scale of things .

My mum bought Ken's fakin' pop on my behalf yesterday cos I didn't went to HMV but she did . At 1st , I wanted to ask Hui Li to get but as she was busy with work , so my mum got it for me instead .

To think she had a hard time to search for Ken's album on my behalf . That I can't blame her since she seldom buy CDs . Not to mention HMV has 4 levels in their Heeren outlet so naturally she had a bit of a difficulty finding it as she doesn't know if the CDs catalogue were sorted according to name or surname which regular HMV junkies like myself know it's sorted according to surname hence Hirai Ken .

I'm so surprised that the SG press of the album was released 2 days after the actual release date in Japan . I called HMV up to enquire about this on Fri & I was so shocked cos I was expecting maybe the SG press will be out in a week or 2's time but woah 2 days ?! That's very FAST .

& I thought SG press of GUILTY was fast . This's even faster & I checked at the back of fakin' pop & yup 100% manufactured & made in S'pore :D

& yeah fakin' pop is a great album & the songs has been on continuous loop since I managed to get hold of the full album .

Some of the pics found inside the CD sleeve are lush while others are just so funny it cracks me up big time .

I will upload some pics from the CD sleeves . I didn't kept the rest because they're just too weird .

normally guys can't really carry off this whole package but I think Ken managed to carry it quite well . Not sure about the shoes

& I had a pretty good day last night . Celebrated my paternal grandma's birthday with my relatives . I didn't really ate much during dinner because I wasn't feeling that well for some reason/s .

I'm just glad that my paternal grandparents are still around & have watched me grown up since birth because I know there're a lot of people who weren't as fortunate as me .

Except for my maternal grandpa whom passed away when I was 3 , my other grandparents are still around & are quite healthy despite their old age .

My ZEN died on me Fri night which was a disaster . I tried to call Creative on Fri but there was no answer so yesterday I brought my ZEN to the Creative shop & I went to seek help to readdress my problem .

There was a software problem & as a result my ZEN had to be reformated which means I lost all my pics & songs but luckily I did a backup for a lot of my songs before this happened to me which weren't so bad or not because this's not the 1st time such a thing happened .

I had such problems with my old Zen Neeon which taught me a valuable lesson - always always do back up on everything possible !

The hardest & most tiring thing to do was to rip the songs from the CDs that I bought & put them back into the ZEN . I managed to get everything into place already thank goodness & not to mention all the music videos/performances are intact in the SD card which's a big PHEW .

Sometimes I wonder if I write about gets a bit too private & too close for comfort . I know I did said that I rather blog more in my music blog than on here but now it might happen once & for all .

I did consider if it's better to just write everything in a physical diary rather than on here because at times I don't want people to find out & know what's on mind , what happened to me on a daily basis & that sort .

The reason why I'm saying all this is because I got busted by my mum just now as she has found out that I've starting to buy things online . I don't know who was the idiot who let his/her tongue loose but that was like almost the 'last' straw that practically broke the camel's back .

I'm going to think & consider over the weekend as to whether I want to continue to update this blog but not on a regular basis or just blog about brief issues or just quit & concentrate on blogging on my music blog full time as like what I said before these days I've more satisfaction in writing in my music blog every single time as I put even more of my heart & soul into it as I love music more than anything else , well aside from Ken that's .

I thought removing the tagboard from here's good enough , guess I was wrong . It's the contents of what I write which at times lands me into un-necessary trouble .

Maybe it has gotten to a case where it got too personal which's why I better start to draw a line on what people deserve to know & what they shouldn't know in the 1st place .

Or maybe better yet , I just stick to write down my thoughts & etc on pen & paper instead .

I was at the AHS forum the whole afternoon & I saw that the members already posted up the covers to Mirrorcle World & I have to say they're nice !

Talking about singles , I never believe in buying them since young because I personally think it's not worth it . It doesn't make sense to me since I might as well use whatever $ I got on hand to buy something else that has more 'meat' in it , like perhaps a CD or a DVD .

The only thing I keep from singles are the soft copies of the pics that were used as the covers . I'm sure there're people who don't mind to splash out a lot of $ on singles , 1st press limited edition discs , be the 1st to preorder the original Jap press editions , blah blah blah but I can't be bothered with it as I see it as a marketing ploy from companies to suck people's $ .

Having said that , I think it depends on the situation & also how much $'s at stake . Like eg. I preordered the original Jap press of Ken Hirai's fakin' pop initally from HMV Japan .

I calculated shipping costs & the likes & it worked out to be about S$51+ . But after I saw HMV HK selling the HK press of the album , I wasted no time in cancelling my original order because with regards to the HK press edition , inclusive of shipping , it works out to be S$25+ which's much much more reasonable for a disc because as much as I like Ken , there's no way I would pay S$50 for a disc no matter how much I like him .

& it's just 1 disc , it's not even the CD + DVD nor the CD + 2 DVDs edition . In Japan , it's the norm to folk out S$40+ for a CD only edition album & you think the CD/HMV prices in S'pore are bad . You go to Japan , it's even worst & it will bring you down to earth as to how lucky we're , like seriously .

I know my limits when comes to spending $ on CDs & etc , whether you're talking about buying them online or in the shops . I know some people actually die die will order the original Jap press from Japanese artistes as they mentioned the quality's there & it's even better than the OS version .

To me , I can't tell the difference & I feel as long as I have the original pressing of any disc , be it SG , HK presses , it's good enough for me .

Just when I thought the front cover looks bad enough , the back cover looks even more amusing .

I can't helped but laughed big time when I saw the pics just now . Ken's just so funny in a good way but at least the material didn't suck . In fact , it's a great album & it's a shoo in to be 1 of the top albums I came across this year , together with his previous album SENTIMENTALovers .

& come to think about it , Ken doesn't have any fate when comes to his singles/albums covers as I can honestly say about 95% of them are quite lousy & I think the hottest outta the lot so far's fake star . Bye My Melody's so cute & his Saitama tour DVD's pretty fine too .

I have already ordered my HK press copy of fakin' pop & I so can't wait for the disc to arrive in front of my house !

& oh before I forget , I received my 1st debit card statement eariler on today which tabulated how much I spent in the 1st month since I got my own debit card & wow I spent even less than I thought with regards to online purchases , I'm so proud of myself *pat pat*

It has been pouring , pouring & more pouring for the past few days . For a moment , I thought Nov/Dec have been knocking on my door but I did a reality check & it's only mid March !

As a result , it has been quite cold during the last few days & it's even colder at night . At times I thought I'm sleeping inside an ice box . So much so that at times I don't need to turn the fan to full blast now .

& apparently the wet wet wet weather's gonna continue in the next few days to come . I can't believe I'm saying this but I want some sun as much as I don't like it when it's a hot & sunny day but sometimes when the weather gets too cold & rainy , it can get quite depressing for me .

I sure can do with a hot cup of chocolate or milo now washed down with a couple of cookies . That will be so bliss & wonderful

& oh my 1st ebay purchase has came in today , nice :)

Woo hoo my 1st internet purchase in the form of Ken Hirai's 10th Anniversary Tour Final At Saitama Super Areana DVD arrived in front of my doorstep just now :D

I'm surprised it took pretty fast for it to be shipped from HK to S'pore . I chose standard shipping which on estimate takes about 7-10 days for the goods to arrive but for my case , it took 5-6 days which's pretty cool . I ordered it last Tue & the DVD was shipped out the next day .

I think it's $ worth spent because 1st of all I cannot find the DVD in S'pore . 2nd , the DVD I ordered's HK press which's perfect for me because it's in region code 3 & prices are much much more affordable for me unlike its Japanese original counterpart .

Inclusive of shipping , I paid about S$37+ in total . The standard shipping price's HK$39 which works out to be about S$6.96+ which's not so bad .

At 1st I worried it will take quite long for the DVD to arrive & just a few mins ago , I was just asking Hui Li should I go for the premium shipping which's more expensive but looks like I don't have to anymore .

I asked my dad to update my passbook in the afternoon & ok so I paid S$38.22 for the DVD . I finished watching it eariler . Worth every penny I spent , concert to commentrate Ken's then 10th anniversary in the business was fantastic especially the 2nd last no. that he did , Love Love Love .

Outta nowhere , 2 cute mascots came onto the stage & they were so cute . I realise Ken can't help but was trying not to laugh when he saw the mascots while he was singing Love Love Love . I don't know what kinda animals the mascots were . Some cute green muntant frog & the other 1 looks like a cross bred behind a brown whale & a chick haha .

& yup Ken's great live . I wasn't feeling the outfit that he wore when he performed from Strawberry Sex onwards there was just too many colours going on but the 2nd outfit he wore was hot :) . He was decked out in an all white suit , nice ! The 1st outfit looks complicated but he carried it off real well .

Off to hunt down somemore DVDs from HMV HK then .

Had a field day browsing though HMV HK practically the whole entire day . I'm supposed to study for my Accounts & Decision Making test next week but that FAILED miserably . Ok maybe not but I did tried to study a bit but obviously distraction got in the way .

Initally I preordered fakin' pop from HMV Japan but it will cost me S$51 + inclusive of shipping charges which's insane so I decided to preorder the HK press from the HK site & cancelled my original pre-order from Japan's . Shipping prices there are 900 Yen for a CD/DVD which's about S$12+ while for HK's it's HK$39 which's about S$6+

As much as I like Ken , there's no way I'm willing to spend 50 bucks or more on a CD . Guess this means in the near future I will stick to HMV HK since Sing $'s stronger against HK $ by about 5.5 : 1 .

I also ordered Koda's Live Tour 2006 - 2007 SECOND SESSION DVD from HMV HK eariler on this afternoon . The 1 that I ordered's the HK press which's much cheaper for me to afford + I called HMV eariler on to enquire about what DVDs they have from Koda .

They only have LIVE TOUR 2005 ~FIRST THINGS~ -DELUXE EDITION- & the worst thing's , there's only 1 disc in the DVD where by right there's supposed to have 2 & it cost S$50+ :S . That's crazy . I might as well order the HK press edition from HMV HK which's much cheaper in price & it comes with 2 DVDs .

I'm still deciding whether I want to get Koda's eariler DVDs . Maybe in the future but I don't know yet . I did watched her PREMIUM LIMITED LIVE IN HALL IN YOKOHAMA ARENA concert in the afternoon which's disc 2 from her Kingdom album .

Very nice I enjoyed watching it . She sounded pretty good live & I really adore the live renditions of MORE , Someday , WIND . BUT , Cherry Girl are kicking & the ballads you , hands are awesome .

I never liked Someday before but after watching the DVD , it's gonna be 1 of my fave Koda songs now .

I always like Koda's ballads from her eariler works so it was good to see her perform you & hands during the concert . I know she's gonna release her 4th DVD LIVE TOUR 2007 ~Black Cherry~ SPECIAL FINAL in TOKYO DOME on 31st March .

I saw the tracklisting & I love the looks of the tracklisting ! 3 hours worth of solid hits from Miss Koda . I'm still deciding whether I want to preorder it or just wait for the HK/local press of the DVD . Something tells me it will be the latter .

Woo hoo , eariler on managed to find & download the full version of Mirror ala Mirrorcle World by ayumi hamasaki & the result ? A brillant masterpiece .

In fact I didn't expect the song to be leaked out so fast as the song's gonna be released next month on 8th April which's the day of her 10th year anniversary in the music business .

Basically if you know or don't know , Mirrorcle World is the extended version of Mirror , the opening track found on her latest 9th album GUILTY .

When news broke out that Mirror will be extended into a full version song & that the PV will be shot in France , everyone in the Sekai world all went into a frenzy .

I mean who wouldn't ? I adore Mirror the 1st time I heard it & naturally I was thrilled to find out it's extended & transformed into Mirrorcle World & I think it's a great way to release that song on ayumi's 10th year anniversary date & I personally feel it's 1 of her best works to date .

It's even better than I thought & not to mention longer in duration . It's always a risk to extend a short song into a full track & I'm impressed that Mirrorcle World doesn't fail to disappoint .

What a great way to celebrate ayumi's 10th anniversary in the business with such a fabulous song ! Now all I have to do's to wait for the PV to be out + the singles covers too !

Phew , I received an email from YesAsia this afternoon to say that the original amount I paid them has been refunded back to me which's a big relief . At least now I know where can I find the transaction ID in my PayPal account .

I just checked my HMV HK account & stoked that the HK edition of the Ken Hirai DVD titled Ken Hirai Films Vol.8 - "Ken Hirai 10th Anniversary Tour Final At Saitama Super Arena" that I ordered via the site has been shipped today woo hoo !

I figure I rather get a HK edition of it via HMV HK rather than EBay . I could have gotten the original Japanese press of the DVD but I'm gonna be damn broke . + the DVD region code's 3 which's perfect for me . If I were to order from the Japan site , I would be worried cos I don't know if the computer can play region code 2 DVD .

Gonna be looking forward to the arrival of Ken's DVD in front of my doorstep & not to mention fakin' pop too ! I preordered it a couple of days ago via HMV Japan & I can't wait for my copy .

Guess there's always a 1st for everything . Over the past few days , I've been taking crash courses on buying things online , CDs that I cannot find in S'pore but yet I can find them on the net .

Thanks to people that I know who're experts in this area , I'm slowly getting the hang of things & mostly it's all trial & error . Initally I was scared cos I felt really lost as I never done this before & have no idea as to which website's better , be it shipping charges , delivery charges & the works but now I think in the next few weeks to come , everything will come into place slowly .

Only problem ? Once I start buying things online , it can get VERY addictive & it's probably even more addictive than pringles . I better start to draw up a budget & cutting down on un-necessary things that I tend to buy on a regular basis .

At the moment I've purchased some items from YesAsia & preordered fakin' pop from HMV Japan . I'm gonna see which's better . Heard lots of complaints about YesAsia , already sent an email to the site asking whether can my orders be cancelled & I just checked my account & the orders have been cancelled so PHEW .

Luckily they're not gonna billed me on this but at least next time I know better .

But at least once you made a mistake , you will learn from this lesson , move on & will not commit the same mistake again . I wait & see whether is it worth it to buy from YesAsia or HMV Japan in the near future .

& as always , such things are always better to be done in moderation .

I went to my mum's friend's house this afternoon with Hui Lin . My mum's friend Belinda is staying at Buangkok which's like the other end of S'pore . It took me about 1 1/2 hours + just to reach aunt Belinda's house as we have to take a bus , hop into the MRT & then finally take the north east line train so you can imagine !

Usually if I were to take the north east line train , at most the furthest I ever go probably will be Dhoby Ghaut or Clarke Quay but this afternoon's really took the cake .

My mum thought we were late as it was cold & pouring since the wee hours of the morning but there were other people who were even later than us .

I really like the interior design of aunt Belinda's house despite the fact that Buangkok's kinda like a dead zone at this moment & when we were trying to make our way to her house , the surroundings were quiet , just a bit too quiet for my liking . You probably can drop a pin on the floor & can hear it briefly .

Lunch was catered food & it was definitely 1 of the better ones that I've had . A bit sore that pork , mutton & beef weren't on the menu & for a while I thought I was having chicken on the menu til I was fooled & my mum told me I've been eating fish without realising it .

Since then fish tastes like chicken or was it the other way round ?
