:+: Fine after rain :+:

Ok so my inital plan was to buy Low Millions's CD but I don't think I will be getting it now as I already have all their songs with the last piece of the puzzle completed aka the song Julia , doubt that I will be buying it . I know it's bad for me to download but I can't help it , I'm too poor to buy CDs now , instead have to rely on good will people to help me instead . Oh well..

But I'm not gonna deny that Low Millions's music is fanastic , all 11 tracks in their CD are so freaking catchy , it's so good it's bad . I'm loving the song Low Millions at the moment in addition to Mockingbird , Statue & the SUPER catchy Eleanor.

I made a new friend yesterday on GW , Faizal ! I got hold of his MSN addy & we started to talk like old friends , it's really cool,talked about anything under the sun & he ,like me,also having problems with his weight . Hopefully he can do something about it like what I did . I'm not saying any1 who wanna lose weight should go on Atkins .

It's just that to go on it requires a lifelong change in your eating & exercise habits . It takes a lot of willpower yeah but in the long run , it will be all worth it for me . I looked back at my old eating habits & they were awful , the worst habit for sure was me drinking SO much soft & packaged drinks !!! Ugh that was horrible

I gave myself 3 months to try on the Atkins plan as I feel that I just need this 3 months to determine for myself whether is the program right/wrong for me when I 1st started it in July & guess what ? it WORKS & now after being on it for almost 4 months ++ , it's like wow . I just can't believe it , neither could my relatives & family members.

So far I lost quite a decent amount of weight , I plan to keep going on until I reach my goal weight . That's when I will go to an image consultant company to ask them to help me out & also shop a storm . At the moment , I already got rid 3/4 of my old & fat clothes that I can't or hate wearing & I'm just glad that I can fit into most of my old outfits back , some of them even looser than ever.

I think the best part of losing weight's buying new clothes in addition to improved health & self confidence . I suspected before that I already have symptoms of diabetes & I used to have low self esteem with regards to my weight . I didn't start losing weight just to look glam , I just wanna regain my full self confidence . I already 1/2 acheived my goal & I can just feel the day when I reach my goal weight.

Honestly I have no idea what's my height & weight now as the scale at home is crap to the pits & I just estimate both of them myself . I don't care on whole , if I look good in the mirror,it's enough for me.I don't wanna be too skinny to the extent that you can see what you shouldn't see on mirrors. Ick I wouldn't want that at all..

So eariler I said that I was bored until I was hoping that someone will kick me in the head , guess what ? I went out with Hui Li after I exercised at the gym bcos' both of us were so sian & at the end , we went on a eating spree :S

1st of all , I went to Raffles City to eat or in this case drink the mushroom soup & had a bit of caesar salad at Soup Spoon together with a green apple . We spilt the cost & it was FABOO & then later head to the marketplace & bought the very last packet of Sweet N Low coffee sweets in which I will bring to Japan next Wed . I was a bit shocked when I 1st step in as tons of shelves were cleared away in a bid for them to upgrade their services. For a moment there , I thought a tycoon has hit inside there haha

Later on , went to Takashimaya the basement there & wah lau , went to eat AGAIN , Hui Li had the gelato & the cream puff from Bread Papa while I had like almost 7 sticks of pork,pork with baby mushrooms,chicken,chicken skins & chicken balls from Tori Q & some sausages from Go Go Express . See I'm so terrible & such a pig that I ate so much just now :S wah lau this's terrible but oh so good & I certainly don't live to eat at all :O

Dinner time will be in about 2 1/2 hours's time & I already have in mind on what I will be having . Hui Li for sure wouldn't be eating as she obviously ate too much eariler haha

Eariler I logged into Su-Hanna blog's & finally after being MIA for 2 weeks++ , she finally got things going on & running . I read her entry & before that also went to June's 1's . Seems to me that both of them are having a hard time in life ,especially Su

Let's see , I already known her since last July , almost a year ++ now & it was only the starting of this year I begin to know her better & more . If you ever meet her in person , you wouldn't be able to tell on the fact that she suffered & not to mention endured a lot of crap emotionally/mentally/physically/psycologically in the past & even up to date . I for sure couldn't tell at all. I feel for her , I really do as I'm sure a normal person who never suffered such things will surely breakdown & just snap in 1/2 just like that

Just like everyone including me , I have low self esteem but I think hers's even more worst than I'm . & I thought I'm the only 1 having such lousy luck . For her it's her complexion . I know , both Su & Wanzhen have the same problem . Honestly both their faces are ok , it's just that when people start to criticise & mock fun the both of them of their looks,now that kinda stinks.

Frankly speaking , if you put the 3 of us together , I surely failed when comes to the looks department . On the other hand , Su will surely win me as I'm sure that everywhere she walks in the street,she will turn heads around haha in a good way

So in short , Su if you're reading this , just hang in there buddy !!! We all have our ups & downs in life , it's only whether you choose to weather & brave the storm or wallow yourself in self pity . You're a smart person so it's obvious to me that you know which path you should take & if you ever need someone to talk to , you know what to do =)

What a day nothing but food food & MORE food haha! I went to Kow Fu's house to eat as he ordered catering . Erm.. not really good as I was hoping for as 1st of all whatever they ordered are all halal which means NO PORK :( but the food that they ordered were pretty decent I guess.The usual veggies,chicken & all , too bad no mutton/lamb & strangely no spicy food.Hmm...

Then eariler for my dinner , I had baby caesar salad bowl & 2 pork ribeye's fillet in which I bought both from Cold Storage . The pork that I bought cost me only $1.51 as it was deemed a Quick Sale so they wanna clear the stock a.s.a.p . I boiled the pork & cooked it like a soup , pretty fine & dainty . Well I shouldn't complain as I had pork which's my fave meat . I saw 1/2 a chicken roll with mushroom in the grill compartment but didn't bought it as I had chicken for lunch & chicken again for dinner ? wah lau please lah..

Went to trim my hair in the morning as it was getting a tad long & outta hand & it was starting to look like a fuzzball on me :S but now everything's ok

I decided that I would shorten my name as I think that "Shayera" is a bit of a mouthful & that "Shay" is much much easier & better to pronounce so yup there you go.Somemore I think that "Shayera" is quite cheem to some people.Oh well,just to cut a long story short , I shorten my name lah haha!

Tomorrow's lunch's gonna be a feast man ehehehe , going to Kow Fu's house to pig out like crazy as previously for his son's 1 month old , I didn't go due to some problems so yeah definitely looking forward to it . I wonder what stuff is he gonna order from the catering service . Hmm... decisions decisions

I been having some problems with my MSN , weird it wouldn't let me sign in & all , stupid I tell you , I'm trying to sort things out with it so if you don't see me on MSN you know why

Yesterday was quite awful , I was bound in bed for almost the whole day as I was reputating from the excess amount of smoke I inhaled on Tue & not to mention the body strains I obtained on my butt & knee joints . Oh crap , it was terrible no doubt about it but thankfully I'm ok now even though my butt's still sore a bit

Now to pass time on the computer , I started getting back my game together aka gambling woo hoo . It's 1 of my biggest addictions other than biting fingernails as I love & embrace it like crazy . I self taught myself how to play the familiar card poker games & stuff that're usually found in casinos as obviously no 1 taught me.Before that , I only thought that only 1 kind of poker game exist . I was so wrong , now I know how to play almost 10 different kinds of poker with the occassional craps,roulette,slot machines,derby,money wheel,baccarat,keno(something like bingo) & the most chicken feet & passe of all blackjack.

My fave poker?Absoultely has to be Pai Gow Poker man it rules . Then again I also love to play mahjong too in 2 versions . I remembered when Kung Fu Mahjong was opened in the cinemas a few months ago , I went to watch it in Genting as it was cheaply there . Woah I enjoyed watching it a LOT & it was in Cantonese which was the original language . It's awesome man to see the many different ways you can win with Mahjong,ah..the beauty of it.

I been to some casinos & I can honestly say that casinos ROCKS , they're 100000x times more fun than arcades I tell you ! So far the biggest & most grand I been to is well at Genting even though the age limit's 21 & above . I tried to sneak inside 5 times & got busted 3 times d'oh :S . Well wouldn't be long before I hit 21 & can enter legally hee hee

Besides that , I also been to 1 at Seoul , it was in 1 of the hotels & another 1 in Superstar Virgo last year where the age limit's 16 woo . That was when I watched my parents play Roulette & slot machines . They only play these 2 man which's so boring even though they could play card games but there's a minimum amount you have to bet which's quite high.

Then again Roulette's no easy game & ultimately whatever gambling game/s you play all really depends on luck . Like if you're lucky in Roulette, the pay out's for betting the right number is 35-1 !!!

So far all these games I keep in moderation , the only time I really let myself go's during Chinese New Year where I would gamble with my relatives but other than that , no I don't do that ,only in the computer heh heh & as you can see I'm a total casino/mahjong groupie haha & yes I also self taught myself mahjong as since young , my relatives always play it every weekend & I always go to their house to see them do their staff & they always took time to explain to me why like that , why like this & so on & naturally I fall in love with it.

You can't blame me you know as gambling runs in my blood , not to mention in my family's blood especially my maternal relatives hee ;P

God tomorrow's the day where I'm gonna do my hair as it's becoming such a terrible mess for me . I plan to thin it & chop my fringe as it's getting to be a pain in the butt for me especially if the day's windy...

Ok I will just narrate yesterday's gig in a nutshell , I think I'm gonna have to split this up into 2 parts:

Part 1 [The Good]

I arrived at the hotel around like 6pm++ & waited in the lobby before the bar opened its doors at 7pm . So when the time came , I went downstairs to queue up , I wasn't let inside until 8pm as there were some problems so before I stepped inside the bar , I had to pay cover charge . Bloody hell I thought it's not charged during weekdays other than Fri ??? Oh heck... I ordered a glass of Lime juice which costs me 10 bucks !! nuts so expensive

Soon after the whole bar started to be packed like crazy man . I saw William , Dave & Daniel around the place & Daniel even went up to me & say hi & we talked for a while before he went to another section to talk to his other mates . I saw him holding a glass of beer on his left hand & a ciggie stick on his right . Oh well *shrugs*

The show was delayed by 20 mins due to some problems . Electrico came on 1st before Rivermaya did . They performed mostly new songs from their upcoming still yet untitled 2nd album such as Only Where I'm Going , the anthemn We're Not Made In The USA , Hello Stupid & the 1st single Love In New Wave which I adore & 2 songs from their 1st album Much More Inside & Runaway . You imagine I had to stand up on the bar stool to get a good view as around this time the whole place was packed like nuts.

& I swear during the 55 mins set , my eyes were on Daniel as he was on stage jumping around with his lead guitar haha I don't know why but it's funny . I saw some local celebs in the crowd as well too.

So around 10.20pm , Rivermaya came on stage & wah Rico the lead singer's so dashing & gorgeous & I think a lot of people came for it bcos' of them or the other or both , I don't know but this's the part where the crowd was pumped up & everything.

Sadly for my case , I'm not very familiar with their music , I only know You'll Be Safe Here. They did songs in English & in their native language so throughout their set , I only can like enjoyed it like a normal show but yes they're a really good band , very solid in their live performance . I can see now why Daniel & the others are great friends & supporters of Rivermaya.

Part 2 [The Bad & The Ugly]
Ok now here comes the really ugly part of yesterday's event . Honestly I didn't enjoyed the double bill gig as I thought I would so basically I was 1/2 disappointed. Why you ask?
The main root of the problem - SMOKING !! Everyone was doing it man , from the front/behind/beside of me , they were all lighting up while drinking . The sad part's a lot of girls were doing it . I wasn't feeling good & started to have 1 of my old relapses back . I usually have 2 kinds of it , 1's where it concerns my ear problems/hearing & another when I'm hit with people smoking . & I thought the govt said that they will ban smoking in bars ? Hmm..
But in anycase , yeah I hate it to the core . I lost my ah gong 15 years ago & this year my family doctor aka grand uncle to both smoking so I will never ever touch a ciggie stick at all . It's a disgusting ,sick habit & you're basically smoking yourself to your grave . I'm not sure if Willam does that but I personally saw Dave & Daniel doing that yesterday .

Sad but true , I really wonder what's so good about it ? If you ask me , I rather be gambling at home or do some reading than to smoke . Somemore smoking breaks down your skin cells.Who would wanna look like an old hag at age 20 no matter how much slap you put , it just shows on you . Sorry guys but I'm 100% dead against smoking & somemore I saw some celebs doing that besides me as well.
Personally it was an experience but let's just say that I'm not someone who will buy the whole nightlife kinda scene . Unlike other people my age , I don't smoke, do drugs,have sex before marriage & never like going to pubs/clubs/discos/bars at all even though I'm officially legal to do so .

Don't get me wrong , I'm not pulling a Hilary Duff here but it's just stuff that I don't like . If you ask me , I don't like those things that I just mentioned at all . I don't know why but it's just me , I'm more of a loner/homely person who rather be at home watching TV/sleeping & not to mention gambling at the comfort of my own home.
In short , in a way , yesterday let me opened my eyes to how the whole nightlife scene's which I personally don't buy & never will I like it at all..

Oh yes !!!!!!!!!! finally today's the day when the double bill gig will be taking place at 8.30pm at Bar None *dances around* & the Life section of the Straits Times even did a report on the event in the 1st page of the section YAY . More than 300 people +++ will be attending it by invites only . I so can't wait to attend it & I know I will have tons of fun & not to mention jumping around haha!

Before I leave the house I plan to call & book a cab to pick me up at midnight . I jokingly thinks that in this situation I'm like Cinderella , racing against time before the clock hits 12 lol . I wanted the cab to pick me up at 12.30am but that's too late lah & somemore I don't really wanna stay inside Bar None for so long so not worth it at all man

Anyway I'm not really a person who likes to stay out SO late at night as you can tell or can't tell . Given a choice I rather just be chilling at home & sleep all day but for today it's an exception.

I could bring a camera along but it's soooo troublesome & not to forget it will distract me from enjoying the showcase & somemore 300 ++ people will be cramped inside the bar so I doubt I will get good shots of pics . That was what happened when I attended Gareth Gates's showcase last Feb at Rouge . 1/2 the photos I took all came out crap & it didn't help that the place that I stand was terrible too . Oh well the pics are not so important what's more important are memories of the event that will be stored inside my brain...

& oh yes after this event wraps up today , I will have something even more bigger & better to look forward to next Wed . What's it ? Just stay turned & find out ehehehe

Yesterday was awful , I was sneezing the whole day & tried to drown myself with medicine to keep the cold away but to no avail man . Finally at night , I took something that was drowsy & knocked me out unconscious soon after . I'm still feeling a bit weak today , due to the side effects of the medicine & not to mention I ate sugar yesterday before I slept :S

I had 3 mini sneakers & 3 additional mini toberone bars & 2 MORE heart shaped hazelnut chocolate where I got them on Sat's wedding . Wah lau I overdosed on chocolate yesterday man haha & today as a result of the fact that I ate sugar yesterday , I sorta had a spitting headache but now I'm ok lah . I'm a chocolate freak as you can tell.Reason why I had those chocolate's that it has been lying in the fridge for like forever & no 1 bothers to eat them to clear space so I volunteered lol

I doubt I will hit the gym today as I'm still feeling weak ,maybe I will take a nap during the afternoon after I have my lunch . I gotta be well & fully recovered before tomorrow's double bill gig man.

My fave band at the moment absoultely has to be Fort Minor . In case you're wondering , Fort who ? Well the frontman of the group's none other than Mike Shinoda of Linkin Park !! Yup & their debut album The Rising Tied is produced by big wing Jay Z & will hit stores on Nov 22nd & their sound's so unique & fresh as compared to the usual stuff you heard on radio now . I don't know how to describe it but it's like stuff that blows me away . I'm in love with their 1st single Believe Me & the video's on rotation on MTV ASIA right now so I guess you should check out this band , they're gonna be huge!

I had quite a rather joyable time yesterday night at the wedding dinner & before that mama developed the pics that she took eariler afternoon. I looked at it & god I still look fat & ugly but it's not as bad as last year where I looked like a cow *hoot in laughter* but still it's ok lah & god Jeffery's 1 head taller than me man :S I'm almost 1.77m so you can imagine!

Surprisely the dinner started quite early at 8.25pm . It ended at almost 11.15pm ++ as I had to stay back with the rest to take quite a lot of pics as I'm part of the host family of the event.The 9 course meal was awesome , 1st time in recent years that I felt full after having a wedding dinner haha!

Ah Gek's elder brother's baby daughter was also brought to the ballroom & wah lau during the time when everyone was getting ready to take the pics , she started crying non stop . I don't know why but 1/2 way though , I started to laugh on the way she cried.I know it's bad but I can't help it ! hey the rest were laughing too so you can't blame me you know! & wah , there were 6 different cameras on the chairs so you can imagine...

I sorta had an argument with my mum yesterday afternoon over the issue that I wanna take a cab home after the double bill gig finished on Tue but at the end , I really don't care bcos' I know for a fact that if I were to really rush for the last bus which's at 11.30pm while the event will wrap up at 11pm++ , it all seems dumb & silly . She even said that even if I decide to flag down for a cab on that night , it will be very difficult . I wasn't convinced of course as I never stay up so late at night before.

So yesterday after the wedding dinner ended , my dad drove us back home & took a trip around Orchard Road & Marriott Hotel was just 2 blocks away from Grand Hyatt so in the car I was , I looked around & god the place was like a ghost town ! There were so few taxi's on the road & I sweared I heard my mum said 'I told you so !'

After talking with Christine Kum Mo & her about this matter , I think I'm gonna book a cab on Tue afternoon . Yeah there will be an additional fee to pay but so what , it's not everyday that I gotta stay out late at night & somemore I wanna stay a while & if possible hang out with both bands after the event finished . Anyway I'm not a bum & not gonna ask my mum for $ to pay for the cab fare as ,as early as last month I been saving up to pay for it .

I know my limits & all .People like Yee Ma & my mum assumed that oh I'm just chasing another wannabe band/artiste. The previous encounter already scared & sobered me up totally & besides this 1's different as I know someone in the band which's Daniel & I'm going for the event no matter what to lend my support to him & the others & not to forget see Rivermaya rock out as I'm totally curious to see them live in action!

Electrico have almost 10 gigs in line after the double bill gig to do in the next few weeks to come in which I doubt that I can go to any of them at all as due to the lousy timing/days & some of them are private events . Anyway my policy's that I will not go & attend gigs/showcases on weekdays during my school days with the exception of Fri & weekend BUT if it's during the school holidays it's fine with me as obviously I got nothing to do during this time lol .

Besides when I attended Sound Therapy , it was during my 1 week school holiday & this upcoming double bill gig ,is during my holidays again so why shouldn't I go ? I know my limits when comes to all these kinda stuff & learn not to befall into the same trap again.

So in short I'm still going ahead to take a cab home after the event finish . No way am I gonna chase for the last bus , that all seems so silly & idiotic.

1/2 the day has passed already , I got back home eariler after being in Ah Gek's house for a few hours.

Man she looked so stunning & not to mention radient in that gold red cheongsam that she wore . Mama jokingly said that she has been transformed from an ugly duckling to a swan since her JC days haha

I arrived at her house at around 10am , quite early I must add & I saw Lee Kow & her jaw sorta dropped when she saw the 'new' me haha . She was like asking me lotta questions on how I managed to lose so much weight as I haven't seen her for like 4-5 months already but yeah it's a nice feeling . I got other compliements from the rest about my current figure too.

Still I wanna lose like probably 10-13kg more before going to seek out a professional consultant & not to mention shop like crazy.

Lunch was great no doubt about it as it was catered food haha . Let me see what I had *thinks* I had stir fried broccoli,mutton curry,paper wrapped chicken & duck . Due to the fact that I had a lot of protein , I made sure that I ate more broccoli to balance out my carbs & protein intake.

Later on I'm gonna watch Pimp My Ride & hit the gym to exercise & of course at night , will be the wedding dinner & sorry Claire I'm not gonna wear a skirt just as yet haha . I still hate the way my legs look as they looked like chicken drumsticks :S so probably after I lose the last few kg's then yeah I will decide whether or not to wear a skirt.

WOO later on going to Jurong Point to pig out like crazy , Seoul Garden to be exact :D . I haven't eat there for a VERY long time . Well this sure beats eating packet for dinner haha . Ah Yee's treating us for a meal , wonder what's the occassion ?Hmm..

Now I have a funny issue to go along with . I used to feel really fat & ugly in the past but now at times I feel that I'm skinny (for the 1st time ;P) & sometimes fat . So it's like when I feel skinny , I just eat & pig out on food . I like eating nuts,cheese or maybe a piece of chicken or pork . When I feel really really fat & ugly , I just sleep as I love sleeping to death , it's so crazy that it's like a drug lol but yeah that's how I combat these 2 issues whenever I'm bugged down with it.

Today during lunch , I just had like a few pieces of veggies leaves & 2 prawn paste chicken drumsticks , I was just too tired to eat as that time I just finished exercising & not to mention bathe so it's like I was picking on my food as I was too shattered but eariler I had some almonds & cheese cubes so I'm ok now.

Time to bring on later on to pig out like crazy in Seoul Garden then yay

DIdn't went to Seoul Garden eventually bcos' it was packed like crap so had to settle for Fish & Co instead . Was my 1st time having a meal there & it was FABOO !! I had Caesar Salad with smoked salmon , canjun fish , cuttlefish,prawns & more fish haha ! The food was great no doubt about it & no wonder everytime I passed by there , there's forever a queue waiting at their doorway . Nice :)

Man the wedding's tomorrow , I can't believe it ! It's so weird I tell you as it seems like yesterday my cousin Ah Gek was still 18 & in JC & look at her now man , she's 28 & still looking gorgeous with her model figure & now red hair . Good to see her finally walking down the aisle after like forever haha . Jeffery's lucky lah . Come to think of it , I wonder what she sees in him ? I guess they're perfect for each other as for starters they're both tall haha

I still haven't decide what should I wear tomorrow in the morning & at night as by blood she's related to me so I have to attend the tea ceremony in the morning . I haven't wore a skirt for like almost 4 years as I hate my legs & they looked like chicken drumsticks :S but I don't know , I'm still thinking about it . Outta the blue in my closet , suddenly there're 3 black skirts that came from nowhere . I tried all 3 , they all fit me perfectly . I can't even fit in in 1 of them in the past !

I don't like skirts they're too restrictive & I can't sit like a boy haha unlike pants/jeans where they're oh so comfy but I really don't know lah , should I wear a skirt tomorrow ? I got no donkey clue . I have decided the blouses I wanna wear but not the bottom yet . It's either a pants or skirt for me . I think my mum will FOR SURE ask me to wear the skirt -_-"'

I have no clue but hopefully they pick a good option .My mum always said that whenever a wedding dinner come , after the event wrapped up , we for sure will not be full at all -.- . I received my invite pass to the double bill gig eariler with thanks to Daniel for taking the trouble to mailing it to me as I know he also had to mail the other 149 +++ passes man . I'm so lucky haha :P & oh in a bit case of F.Y.I , the passes are NOT for sale as this event's not opened to the public at all.
Anyway I scanned the pics up of the invite pass not too long ago & oh wow the images looked really gorgeous & really well dark!Enjoy folks!!

Finally after it took like FOREVER to download the file that I lost , I finally managed to retrieve back this morning with tons of many thanks to Jenny :D . I'm gonna put a backup file in both computers in the house should the hard disk drive to my mp3player go cranky again.

Probably after I hit the gym & have my lunch , I might go & call Daniel to see whether will he be free tomorrow . He might/might not be able to due to his crazy tight schedule but I just try lah later on in the afternoon.God,I haven't seen him for almost a month liao & it wouldn't be long before next Tue's double bill gig :D

Ah Pa said I better don't go out today as people will come & spray insectide later on in the afternoon.Personally I don't think it will happen today as the weather is like really crappy , all so moody & gloomy but oh well whatever floats Ah Pa's boat

Oh well I called him eariler & nope he's not free , been swarmed with work the past few weeks like CRAZY but it's ok , looks like tomorrrow I will be kicking butt at the arcade in West Mall in the afternoon then ehehehe & that I will be seeing him on next Tue's night.

I keep on saying that I'm BORED BORED BORED but guess what ? Today I'm planning to exercise 1 1/2 hours a day ala 1 hour in the morning walking on the treadmill & alternate weigh training for my legs & arms + lifting lift weights in the gym & 1/2 hour at the afternoon doing some light yoga as I still remember some moves that Tricia taught me . I can't possibly go to the gym again I tell you ,just once a day is enough for me!

Then probably read on some Japanese books that Hui Li borrowed yesterday in order to brush up on my knowledge on Japanese . Mama's orders man , I mean what will happened if I get lost in Japan & then the only word I know's Katsudon ? (haha very funny... NOT -_-"') That's NOT the only Japanese word I know lah for goodness sake!

Then again on a hindside , it might be good to learn another language as it might benefit me quite a bit in the long run.Well hopefully lah

The weather has been very strange recently . Eariler it poured like mad & then now it's so hot , what's up man??? It's so funny I tell you , it's like Heaven's playing with the weather wheel or something haha.

Oh well gonna watch Designer Guys later on & did I mentioned that Steven's so damn boyish & hot? Sorry Chris but I don't really like you ;P

Recently I been listening to lots of Maksim's music & he's a hottie hee hee . He's a pianist but he's like a hippier Richard Clayderman . His music's awesome I tell you , maybe bcos' I was bought up with classical music & that it runs in my blood in which explains his music appeals to me a LOT . I downloaded quite a no.of tracks from him , gonna download somemore with kind thanks to Sadie :) Too bad he's taken already & somemore his daughter was born in August :O BOOOOOOOOOOOO why always the good & gorgeous guys get taken ALL THE TIME :(

What a lousy way to start the morning . My hard diskdrive in the mp3player crashed AGAIN which means that I gotta waste un-necessary time to cut & load the whole stash of music in there to the desktop & then reformat the whole diskdrive & reload everything again & you know how big of the files I got in there. Ugh

If that's not bad enough , they whipped out my Electrico folder which contains the 2 interview files that're really dear to me & that I personally recorded both interviews using my mp3player by myself !!!!! *wail* I don't mind losing other files but NOT those 2!!!!!!!! BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I already sent an SOS to Jen/Suzy/Claire asking whether either 1 of them still have the files as I remembered I sent the 3 of them before . Fingers crossed that 1 of them still have both files *sigh*

Thankfully the other computer has a backup file of the 10 mins interview which's a RELIEF ! However I didn't put the 98.7FM Home Interview file in there :( but still it's ok I guess . I think once I get back both files , I'm gonna put backup files in this & the another computer!!Not to self : never ever change anything in the hard disk drive of the mp3player next time ! do it in the desktop instead!

On a happy note , all 150++ invites to next week's double bill gig have all been snapped up like the snap of my fingers due to hot demand for it & security for the event will be damn & super tight as I think the turnout crowd will be more than ever aka like a herd of buffalos will be squeezing inside the bar :O & yup like any pub/club/bar in S'pore , there's an age limit imposed in it which's 18 & that I'm qualified lol

I have to remember to bring my ID next week as there will be a strict security check at the venue & to avoid any misunderstandings so those who're under 18 & all , they can't go at all , What a pity , maybe Ch5 should go there & record the performance so that it can be shown on TV to avoid disappointment to Electrico's younger fans & also to those who can't unfortunately turn up for the double bill gig.

& eariler I downloaded Ashlee Simpson's I Am Me album & better quality sound files from Ryan's You Stand Watching. I love all the songs in Ashlee's new album , she has matured in her voice & sound & in terms of production quality , she has suppressed it as compared to her 1st album Autobiography.Why I even download a song on the Freaky Friday soundtrack in which she contributed Just Let Me Cry . At 1st listen I was like IS THAT HER lol as her voice sound so erm... weird.

As for Ryan's songs , I know I said eariler that I thought his sophomore album's a big disappointment but now I love it . Probably the sound quality of the files that I 1st downloaded were crap or something haha but ya his songs are really nice , it's still mellow lah but good effort from the dude :)

I decided to put Rivermaya's You'll Be Safe Here as it's an EXCELLENT song & I'm gonna see them kick some serious butt next Tue , hope everyone love the song as much as I do . They're like the biggest rock act in The Philippines & they sell hundreds of thousands of albums per the truckload in their hometown man !!!!!! Yup they're really big & they won Fave Philippines Award for the MTV Asia Awards for 2002,2003 & 2005 so yes they kick some serious action I tell you!

The band is composed of Rico Blanco on vocals, Mike Elgar on guitar, Mark Escueta on drums and Japs Sergio on bass.Honestly I don't know which member's which in Rivermaya :S . MTV ASIA has been playing in their limewire section promoting & talking about the double bill gig so it's really exciting !! Yesterday I saw it in the section on TV where they played a bit of Electrico's Good Time video while eariler I saw it again this time they played a bit of Rivermaya's You'll Be Safe Here video . Cool stuff , even though I only saw a bit of Rivermaya's , the setting's quite unique , something like that episode from Totally Spies's Scream From The Forest . If you don't watch Totally Spies , then just think the setting ala Corpse Bride.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO School's OUT & officially Holidays are IN . Yeah baby , my holidays have officially started . God 1 month & 3 days to just bum around & do nothing but sleep haha but yeah I have things to do in the weeks to come so I not obviously bumming around for nothing

Well the most obvious thing's I have finished my exam today . All the hints that Ms Yeo gave me came in handy man , I hope that I can ace this subject overall.

I did exceptionally well for my Call Centre Management incourse work which's 60% of my overall performance . I scored 98/100 for my CA & 88/100 for my project in which for my incourse work , I scored 98.4/100 aka 59.1% outta 60% which's pretty good I guess.

Liyana shockingly , scored the same marks as me for the CA :O I think no 1 expected it , not even me man but good for her I supposed ! I was telling her marks to Zhen eariler in class in Chinese & Fieza assumed that I wasn't happy that Liyana scored the same marks as me . No lah , where got such thing 1 ? In fact I don't mind if someone take over my crown as top student in my class.Ms Yeo said that me & Liyana got the highest for the CA in class so good going girl!

I mean once you start being competitive & all , you lose your self control & it can become scary but yeah that's just me . So if I don't know Dilah/Da Hua/Jia Wei/Su/Zhen wanna take over my crown , sure let them have it . After all I can't forever be on top . What must go up must come down right?

Eariler was the last time I will be seeing Ms Yeo before she will go for her 3 month maternity leave . She's just too good lah , it will be a pity not to see her in the next few months . I think she wouldn't return back to ITE until Feb or so?

I probably meet up with Daniel this week as I haven't seen him for a month or so & not to forget collect my invite pass for next Tue's double bill gig & also the LONG overdue autographed stuff for Hui Li's friend Hema lol but yeah looking forward to that , if he's free lah that's.

& right now I'm spring cleaning the whole Music Reviews forum , deleting old threads as the place's getting a bit too clutted up if you asked me! & wah lau it's hell lotta work to delete old threads as there're SO many in there :S Luckily I have lots of spare time to do it now so no biggie :)

Had a really scary but weird dream the whole night . I dreamt that I was running late for tomorrow's exam paper & that when I got outta bed , no 1 was at home except me & I got outta the house , tried to flag down for a cab but to no avail . I was stuck waiting for a cab for like forever until 1 came along but it was an old taxi from the 80s or something & then I made my way in school just in time to sit the paper . Funny dream sia , I wonder what does this mean?

Oh well , 1 more day before holidays arrive for me WHEEEEEEEEE & I have a whole barrage of things to do during the 4th & last week of Oct which means I will be sorta busy . I have to admit that the past few days I been slacking off exercise in order to prepare for my exam but once that's outta the way , I will resume it again & probably if I got nothing better to do , I might exercise 2 hours a day depending on my mood.

I have switched to using AngelFire to host the songs instead of BlogUpload . AngelFire seems to be better as I saw Nurul using that to host her songs in her blog so I thought I give it a try as BlogUpload kinda suck as sometimes the song that I upload in my blog , no sound came about or worst still , the song can be playing but they kinda cut 1/2 way that sorta thing :S so yeah hopefully AngelFire will be good lah & it turns out that it's , WOO

So now my problem with the cab issue's settled with thanks to extra funding from my 2nd paternal uncle ehehehe . No lah kidding , he always dotes on me a lot since young & I haven't seen him for 3-4 months so eariler I went to my ah ma's house as he wanted to see me . He was sorta blown away by the 'new' me as it has been a while since I last saw him but ya it was nice to see him again

Anyway I decided for the music bit , I will stick with Electrico's music as now I'm just too lazy to put any music in my blog other than the guys's ones . Don't get me wrong , I love lots of other acts other than Electrico but since my blogskin's dedicated to the guys , naturally I should put their songs in right? LOL

For starters I will put what it could have been their 4th & final single from So Much More Inside called Fabled Angst Machine. Jenny & I know what's the song's all about but for you folks you don't have a donkey clue on what it's all about , Dave wrote that when he saw an old man in a hawker centre whom offered to do card tricks for the people who were eating in there for free but due to cruelty & all , most of them turned him away just like that ,like a mosquito . Sad but true . I remembered Dave who told the story again during Sound Therapy & it's quite terrible . Then again Daniel was the 1 who told me about this 1st so...

Dave's a lier man lol , he said that the background to Fabled Angst Machine can be explained & found in the CD sleeves of the album . I checked already , where got ? haha!Anyway I just hope that the guys wouldn't mind me putting their songs on my blog. The 'shelf life' of the song , it depends on my mood really. The only song I don't like from them's Feed The Cats . The lyrics to it are just very very strange & so does the song title haha but the rest rock man!

Downloaded new music from Ryan Cabrera's You Stand Watching & Low Millions's Ex Girlfriends.

At 1st listen I thought Ryan's 2nd album's a tad disappointing as compared to his superb debut album Take It All Away . He seems to be moving to be more mellow & less upbeat but still there're quite a number of catchy tracks in it . I really like From The Start the most & also Shine On. Maybe I have to listen to it more to really judge his album properly as I only listen to his track at 1 go so I probably have to give it a few more spins.

& it's a real pity as You Stand Watching bombed big time when it was released 3 weeks ago in the U.S , debuting at a really poor no24 , a stark contrast to the position that Take It All Away debuted which was at no 8 & now , his 2nd album has fallen outta the billboard top 100 album chart slot . Oh dear...

Low Millions?What can I say ? Their songs are very damn catchy , all 11 tracks are gems man I tell you ! I enjoyed Eleanor & Statue currently ,the other 9 tracks I haven't really listen but I will in due time

WOO finally after 3 years of waiting , I finally become a moderator for the Music Reviews forum in GW & awww.. Amir's so sweet . He PM'd me as soon as he saw my name being reflected on there & not to mention set up this thread for me too . He's a sweetie , thank you dude ! I hope he will become a mod too even though technically he's now . He's right now managing the Indonesia forum but he wants to take over from my original position which's to manage Kelly Clarkson's 1 , a position which I wouldn't mind giving up ehehehe

Oh yeah time to party now man :)

I been downloading SO much music the past few days , it's crazy & it's all thanks to Sadie who make it possible ehehehe . I'm such a pain in the butt to her but she's all so gracious & willing to help me find music on the net on my behalf so that's really damn cool if you asked me.

Now I'm into R&B,hip hop , rock,pop/rock stuff . Rojak stuff also. I know downloading music's bad but I'm just too poor to buy CDs now so what to do ? & besides I don't really have a lot of time finding music on the net so I have to ask someone to help me on my behalf & now I decided to take out the music part as it seems to be taking a lot of time & not to mention decision which song/s to put on a daily basis so I scrapped off the idea.

I eariler downloaded Rivermaya's You'll Be Safe Here which of course I will be seeing them rocking out on Oct 25th together with Electrico . The song's really nice ,very mellow & frontman Rico wrote the lyrics & melody to it . I'm curious to see them live so hopefully they wouldn't disappoint me & that song's currently getting airplay on Power98.Not sure for 987FM though as I haven't listened to the radio for a really damn long time even since they changed their format which I don't like so..

& yay this piece of info's just in , The Bravery's 4th single will be Public Service Announcement . I was hoping for Out Of Line or Swollen Summer or Tyrant but oh well , it's still a good choice from them.

Look at me I'm such a saddo , I kept on changing the song that I want it to be played on my blog from time to time as I'm SO fricking picky & it's just terrible lah , the website only accepts WAV files . If they do accept Mp3s files , wah , even better man.

My exam's less than 1 week's time , I'm already getting the jitters now man . I don't know even though I have been revising , something tells me that the paper will gonna be damn hard lor even though Ms Yeo gave the class the hints on which parts will come up in it but I don't know lah , it's just me being over worried & anxious for nothing.

Now that school has officially been finished for me sorta for this week , I can focus on whatever free time I have to study for just 1 damn paper , eat,sleep,sleep,eat & the cycle goes on haha! no lah just kidding , other than eat & sleep , I also watch TV & hit the gym.

I emailed Ms Yeo eariler about the exam schedule for next Mon's paper [which's at B4/201 , help me informed the others if some kind soul's reading this *cough cough*] & not to mention asked her what's my marks for the CA. OMG , I'm in a state of shock as I thought I would flunk the paper big time man & I passed it so brillantly . Uh oh this means that I lost the bet to Zhen already hahahaha bcos' she said that if I scored 80 marks & above , I have to treat her to a grass jelly drink in school.

Ya lah I scored above 80 marks & the marks I obtained for the CA ? *drumroll* .... 98 marks !!!!!!!!!!!! See told you I'm in shock over my results . I thought I screwed up the entire paper but guess not ehehehe

I was feeling sick aka having the flu since yesterday night . It sorta escalated this morning , I think it was the crazy weather , 1 moment hot 1 moment cold until I couldn't take it anymore so when I came back home , I took medicine & slept . Wah the medicine was so strong , it knocked me out straight away haha! I'm fine now & for some reasons can't wait & be ready to start revision for my exam. Yes I know I'm nuts

I found out that Kelly Clarkson's last/5th single will be Addicted ! YES !!!!!!!!!! I love the song a lot & it's Kelly's fave off her Breakaway album as the lyrics & all are very personal to her & a repackaged album will be launched 31st Oct which's inclusive of her triple platinum album (that's a cool 3 million copies sold & more in U.S now !! ) with an enhanced CD filled with goodies.Actually I wasn't surprised when she picked Addicted to be released as it's a really strong track.

For now , I just have to wait for mtv to aired her latest video & single Because Of You . It smoked up the TRL chart in the 1st week , debuting at no1 on the 1st day of release ! holy cow . I saw screenshots of the video , it's very different from the usual videos she has done as this centres on her parents's divorce when she was 6.Yup very personal & dark stuff there..

I just added another column at the right side of my blog which I'm sure will have fun updating from time to time :) but for the new column & the existing song column,it can change depending on my mood.

I watched Star Run on Ch8 yesterday & it was hilarious , never laughed so hard & much in my life ever bcos' the show's just SO funny . For more info on this show , go to Star Run

Yesterday they had this dude Kelvin Cui Peng on the show with Christopher Lee & Chen Tian Wen & wahahaha , he's eye candy material man ehehehe ;) . He's from China & I didn't know this fact but he was 1 of the 2003 Star Search Contestants & eventually winner for the year 2003 but wah he's so boyish hee hee . Recently he was on TV on a drama show called The Dragon Heroes in which yesterday was the final episode. He played a white dragon prince whose was good initally but eventually became evil . Why I don't know bcos' I don't really watched the show but ah well.

But YES I swear yesterday when I was watching Star Run , my whole attention was on him bcos' he was SO fricking hot with a hot slightly spiky hairstyle & he wore this damn cool shirt *drools* God , I better stop this now haha!

I felt sorry for Tian Wen as when he went to press the buttons with that big hand logo , he got sorta sabo & had to start ALL over again & the other 2 were rubbing in his face asking him to catch up hahaha . The 3 of them did so many funny things yesterday it's just plain old dumb ass & stupid but who cares man.

Wouldn't be long before I will sit for my exam paper next Mon as this semester's subjects that I take are usually project based work. I'm SO looking forward to it for some reasons as this time , I will only be sitting for 1 paper & after that it will be the start of my holidays YAY so I guess this week I will put in my best efforts in mugging for it to see that I wouldn't repeat the same mistakes as last semester where I cram 3 papers 3 days before the start of my exams :S .

It's a fluke that I managed to ace all 3 I tell you haha! so this time round , I'm not taking any risk & chances to panic at the last min again.

Woah look at the date , it's exactly 3 months's time before I hit 19 omg :S , I'm gonna be old again *moans*

Notice music finally in my blog ? I bet you do & yup no surprises that I choose to put 1 of my fave Electrico tracks which's I See The Light . No doubt it's a tough choice as I love all the songs but I decided to go ahead & put I See The Light as it brings back memories for me bcos' it was the 1st song they performed acoustically during the Sound Therapy gig which was held at the Recital Studio in Esplanade so it's kinda special :) & did I mentioned that it's 1 of Daniel's fave tracks (other than The Story Of Slant Boy) & Leonard's fave too ? ehehehe bet you didn't know that

I use www.blogupload.com to upload the file which unfortunately they only can accept WAV files when comes to music . You also can upload pics too . In every account you create , they give you a space block of 10,000KB which's quite ok I guess.& after you upload a music file under the generate html code option , you're given a choice whether to play the song once or over & over again.

Here's the thing when you see the 2 options.If you see the words in the html code called "loop=true" & "loop=infinite" , it means that the song will continue to play non stop . I know bcos' I studied Web Publishing last semester that's why haha!

I wanted to upload a song in Jenny's blog but I have no clue which Electrico song she like so I guess that have to guess until she comes back online on Fri after she finished her final year exams.

God I downloaded SO much music yesterday & today , it's crazy man . I got new music from The Rasmus's brand new album , Hide From The Sun . The songs are all fanastic , Lauri & gang have matured in their sound . I know bcos' I bought the special edition of Dead Letters & I love all the songs in there too . I'm sure Claire will agree with me as well ehehehe

Other than No Fear , the ones I really like from Hide From The Sun are Don't Let Go , Sail Away & Last Generation . Don't Let Go blown me away big time ! & all these are made possible by Sadie ehehehe . I was a bit disappointed with FFF-alling, I thought it will be more catchy & kick ass but oh well BUT I enjoyed Heartbreaker a LOT with thanks to Marika which was from their 2001's Into album :)

Now I'm downloading songs from Black Eyed Peas's Monkey Business album . I felt like an idiot bcos' I thought The Bravery's No Ring On These Fingers & The Ring Song are 2 different songs BUT they're the same -_- "' . Turns out that No Ring On These Fingers's a phase in The Ring Song so techincally it's the same song , damn me .

I already finished downloaded the full BEP's album & I really like their tracks , it rocks . I do hope that they can release Pump It as I love it a LOT . Most of the tracks are easy on the ears & makes you wanna hit a party & the dancefloor now!

Was talking to Suzy yesterday for almost 3 hours on MSN , it has been a long time since I talked to her for so long , among the many things we talked about was the crazy obsession behavior of some folks in ggates.

Clearly , some of them have CWS aka Celebrity Worship Syndrome in which they become so obsessed with well in this case ggates that they start to lose their self control & worst still for those who have families & kids , care for him more than their own blood relatives . It's not that I'm condemning them as me & Suzy was once caught in this mess but it's just really sad to see this happening . It's only after I failed my O levels aka GCSEs big time due to my obsession with him that I sobered up completely after it.

It's like they worship him like he's god or something & that he's perfect . Hello , earth to them , there's no such person who's demn perfect . It's not like he does not do any stupid mistakes now & in the past & how can you say that man ??? & if that's not bad enough , whenever a bad press or comment cropped up in the forums , they spent so much un-necessary time & debating whether are the comments true a not & bombard the papers with their essay long emails . Tsk tsk

Then again I'm not perfect at all so sometimes their behaviors icks me out big time & I would never forget the time when they chased away Laura,Jayne & Helen away . Heard from Suzy that Jayne's doing fine at his sister's boards so that's a relief .

Suzy was also telling me that Sharon aka 1 of the mods in ggates who's from Ireland, kept on rubbing in her face that she's 'ggates's no1 & ultimate fan in Ireland' . SO WHAT you slut ? It's not like your CV will reflect well on that should you put that in it . Including those who suffer from CWS , look at yourself at the mirror , are you worth it for him which includes the crazy amount of $$ you spent on him which makes him rich ? I bet not ..

Honestly at the end of the day , me & Suzy both have better things to do & worry about . I mean this issue's something that comes & go for the both of us & we obviously are now older & hopefully wiser haha! Sad to say not for them who suffer from CWS.

Now we both have different tastes in music but it doesn't mean that I'm giving a go at her for not listening to the music genres I don't/do listen to . We're adults so we learnt to accept each other flaws & the different things we like which's something that THEY should take a raincheck on & which's 1 of the many reasons why I'm so glad to be friends with her for almost 2 years ++ now

HAPPY 19th BIRTHDAY SUZY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WOO !!!!!!!! you're officially 19 baby , hope you have tons of fun drinking & making merry today ehehehe :P . The 3 of us ( me , you & Angeline ) has been good buds for almost 1-2 years +++ , may our friendship last forever & that you be blessed with everything in the years to come.
You're damn lucky I tell you as you're the 1st person I ever dedicate & write a post to in regards to birthdays ehehehe so you lucky duck , rock on . I'm sure you will as you & Angeline will be rocking out to McFly in concert next Oct in London YAY

FINALLY , after it seems like forever , I finished the presentation for the Web Applications Development (WAD) project eariler with Su & Zhen . It was the 1st time I ever presented a website as I usually present stuff in the form of powerpoints .

It was a terrible disaster & it doesn't help that I suck at using the keypad for Miss Derry's labtop man :S . Now why she can't use a small mouse ??? makes things so much easier for the 3 of us. There were some boo-boo's here & there but other than that , it went well I supposed.

As usual the ever worrier me , worried that she might flunk us in a really bad way but I decided that what's done cannot be undone again & somemore , I have better things to worry about , like my Call Centre Management (CCM) exam . From time to time , I always get the jitters & worry about results & stuff but I thought I will be there just doing my own thang , to minimize pressure bcos' once I start to pressurize myself unnecessarily , it's not funny at all so yup I should just take a chill pill.

& as a result , no need to come for WAD for the next week which means that I wouldn't have school on Wed- Fri YAY . I still have to come back on Mon & Tue though but only for PE & CCM which leaves the next few days for me to prepare for the exam which eventually will wrapped up in conjunction with the end of 3rd semester.

Honestly I was a bit paranoid after presenting as our group's like the 2nd to submit both the hard & soft copies of our project but I thought our plight's more fortunate & 10000x luckier as compared to the guys in the class excluding Tee Yong's group . I remembered eariler Miss Derry was saying Eng Kiat's group haven't even started yet where the deadline's supposed to be like what , today ???? Poor thing & Jerel's group ... leave all the programming work to Ming Hai I think . Aiyoh , how can like that ?????

But at the end of the day , I thought it's no big since everything's over & done with so now I should focus in preparing for the exam then ! Maybe 1 of my new year's resolution's to STOP worrying like a worry wart !!

& as a treat to myself , I had 2 1/2 bowls of sugar free jell-o with whipped cream just now . YUM & not to mention I want to finish everything so that I wouldn't be buying both the whipped cream & jell-o crystals again as they're too expensive & that I want to start saving $ right now to 'prepare' for the cab fare . I checked the late night ratings charges & it's not funny , a lot of dough involve I tell you !
