:+: Fine after rain :+:

Wow oh wow , eariler the gigs at The Science Centre (TSC) were fanastic & not to mention the after gig effects were awesome to say the least & also I wasn't the only 1 that went to catch Astreal & Electrico in performance too . Hui Li tagged along with me !

For starters , we left the house around 4pm or so cos I wanted to go to my maternal grandma's house to watch the 2 Power Rangers Wild Force episodes that my aunt helped me recorded during when my whole family were in Genting . It's either I go now or I have to wait 2-3 weeks later to watch it -.- .

The 2 episodes were quite crucial cos they showed the part where Merrick , played by Philip Andrew , transformed into the Lunar Wolf Ranger & ahhhh he's a hottie man heh heh while the other episode , Toxica powered herself up to become the new General Org , Necronomica . Anyway both episodes were good !

Before that , surprise surprise I received an SMS from Saha asking me whether will I be going to see their performance at TSC in which of course I'm & he said that he will be there too so I was thinking cool , finally got to meet up with Saha in the flash !

After both ended , we made our way to IMM for some dinner before eventually making our way to TSC . We ended up at Ajisen Ramen in which it was the 1st time we went there & we ordered the same things at the end aka roasted pork ramen with a soup stock that's miso based & it comes with a side dish too . It was nice but I find the soup a tad salty in that the more you drink it , the more salty it tasted . Then again I'm not a big ramen fan to say the least so there.

We left IMM about 15 mins or so , went upstairs for a while to watch Spongebob Squarepants + Patrick Star for a moment or 2 til Hui Li asked me to leave cos she don't wanna feel like an idiot watching such a live show for kiddies .

There was only 1 bus that brought us to TSC so had no choice but to wait for it . Once that happened , we were on our way there , by foot cos the bus stop that we alighted at , it was a bit of a walking distance from the bus stop to TSC so got no choice & it doesn't help matters that I wasn't feeling well since getting up this morning !

Now why can't my period come like tomorrow? it has to come today of all days -.- , was crying out in pain man big time . No wonder I got up so late today & was feeling like crap . & I have to admit that I almost didn't wanna go to TSC tonight cos of this but I decided to eventually cos I mean I have been telling the guys & girl that me & Hui Li are coming so yeah a promise's a promise so got no choice but to tolerate the pain even though it was killing me from day to night.

We reached TSC around 7.35pm or so & this's the part where I wanted to tear my hair apart !! Why ? Cos there's a notice they put saying that The Great Spy Experiment's performance timeslot for Explore S'pore is 6.15pm , Astreal's 7pm while Electrico's 8pm !

I was kinda upset when I saw the notice , especially since I wanted to catch Great Spy in performance & Astreal's too ! Not to mention , had a rather hard time finding the actual venue to where the performance's actually taking place but eventually that was solved .

& here comes the part that I wasn't prepared for , not even Hui Li . There's an age limit being imposed ! Since when going to TSC has an age limit to it ? -.- Only 16 & above were allowed in , cos alcohol's being sold in the place . Luckily for Hui Li cos she's 16 now haha & there was a strict security check before I actually step foot inside TSC , they even checked my ICs & all & the funny part's that they wanted us to leave our water bottles in a designated table , very strange , if I know I wouldn't be so guai as to do that & just walked & hurried my way inside haha

I haven't been to TSC for so long but I didn't recalled the place being SO big & was a bit lost as to find the actual destination as to where the performances were being held at until I heard some sound somewhere & recongised that as Astreal so I quickly grabbed Hui Li to where I heard the sound & violia , we ended up at the ecogarden (what a name) .

I didn't realised that TSC is so dark in the night even though around this time it was almost close to 8pm & Astreal was already performing on stage but luckily I managed to catch the 2nd 1/2 of their performance & they were fanastic !

There were quite a lot of people outside the arena which was something so to speak , some were sitting at the ledges but most were standing near the stage , we included so I quickly went to where Astreal's performing & stand at 1 corner.

& guess who 1st saw me & Hui Li while I was enjoying Astreal's performance ? Daniel ! I didn't even noticed he was walking to my direction & also calling my name out loud cos I was quite engrossed with watching Astreal . Was surprised that he managed to spot me .

But ah it was really lovely to see him again & Dan gave me a hug , aww so nice of him to do that :) & finally he got to meet Hui Li once again as the last time she saw him was last Aug , when they did the Sound Therapy gig at The Esplanade .

I talked to Dan for a bit til he went to the other side of the venue to get ready as after Astreal's performance , it's Electrico's turn to rock up the stage & frontwoman bassist Ginette together with guitarist Muhammad & drummer Wan were pratically tearing the whole stage up with their very rocking performance & somehow or another , Hui Li doesn't seem to like their music cos she never heard of their stuff & also their music's not their cup of tea but for me , I love it.

They did songs from their 2nd album Fragments Of The Same Dead Star & cos of the fact that we came late , so I missed the 1st part or so . Here're the ones that I heard :

2) Death & Glitter (love this number , it's fanastic when they did it live )

4) Control (awesome , I love this ! )
5) This's Dormant ( kick ass track on CD , even more kick ass when it's done live)

So I guessed that I probably missed out on them doing Lover & The Sea live & more. Oh well that's ok , probably they might do that next weekend at the LIME Sonic Bang.

& around this time , Saha SMS'd me back & asked where exactly the gig's taking place & apparently he's around the place too . I actually wanted to go up & say hi to Ginette & the rest but unfortunately I think they left soon after & probably during Electrico's set so probably next time then.

Astreal's set ended around 8.15pm or so , in which around this time , Electrico started to go up onstage to prepare & set up the necessary equipment & gear & then Des walked past & said hi to me which was really nice of him to do that.

So when that was done , everything was all into place & the 1st person that caught my attention was Dave as he was wearing sunglasses on stage ! I was like eh , how come like that ?

Reminds me of the time when Dan wore sunglasses when they did the gig at the Amazing Race Asia at Suntec City in that Dan said he wore those to make him looked cool -.- so I guess the same thing goes for Dave too but except this time , Dave's wearing those at night ! Dudes you both are cool already to begin with , no need to up the cool factor lah !

Anyway finally , Electrico was onstage to perform around 8.30pm or so . They kicked start with Walk which was brillant as usual , followed by Electricorp. & my personal fave Teenage Queen in which Dave said onstage that it might be the 3rd single after Love In New Wave & Hello !

In my mind I was going 'YES YES YES hope that will come true' as I really think that Teenage Queen has the potential to be the next single but we'll see how things go :)

When they were about to play Electricorp. , they were buying some time cos they had problems with the sound system as whatever that Dan plays on his lead guitar , he & the audience couldn't hear a thing or 2 & at some point in time , the sound system was having an on/off affair but still , the crowd doesn't seem to mind , not even me & Hui Li.

Surprisely , there were quite a lot of people & the left side of the place , a handful of people were moshing to their songs which was quite weird & aggressive in action & not to mention , there was a couple in front of me that were smoking heavily which really wasn't pleasant to begin with til I moved a bit to the other side of the place.

I realised a this point in time , Des & Dan were wearing jackets onstage :O hello dudes with all the jumping around the place & not to mention it's outdoors , wearing a jacket's the last thing in mind to wear but luckily Des was smart to take it off after that while Dan didn't took off his jacket until later on -.-

After they did Teenage Queen , it was followed by Only Where I'm Going & then they slowed things down with their current 2nd single Hello . I have to tell you , when they were doing the 1st 4 songs , Dan & Des were crazy . Dan was jumping at the left corner of the place while Des was at the right side doing the same thing . In fact I think Des did more exercise than Dan eariler haha & besides a few jumps that Dave did , he was rooted to the ground haha

After Hello , it was followed by their no1 smash single , the debut single from their 2nd album Hip City aka Love In New Wave in which around this time , the crowd started to go really wild like nuts .

No wait , it wasn't til they closed the set with We're Not Made In The USA which the crowd started to go really mad , the intense moshing was insane if you ask me & if I were you , I would say that it's not necessary to do all this moshing cos soon after their set finished , something ugly happened in that there was a fight being broken out.

There were 2 people pointing fingers at each other , in that A commented at B that B sweared at A accidentally or not & it got so bad to the extent that security guards were called in to cool things down between both parties. Me & Hui Li were scared so we quickly went to the other side of the place.

Hui Li enjoyed everything in which I was glad cos it has been a rather long time since she last saw their performance so luckily both of us were there.

So anyway , after their performance ended , everyone started to leave while me & Hui Li still hang around cos I wanted to get some things back from Dan & also wanna get Hui Li to meet up with everyone too cos I have been telling them things about her so naturally or not , they wanted to see how she looks like haha

We quickly went to the left side of the stage & 1st person I said hi to when I was there was Des , followed by Will , Amanda & last but not least Dave .

It was quite funny in me introducing them to Hui Li as she's some kinda star or something -.- , even she herself was quite paiseh but no lah nothing to be paiseh about & Will commented that she looked like me . Well duh , we're sisters what haha

Cos everyone was so busy in packing up the place , so only small talk was made which was ok . Was lovely to see everyone again , has been a while since the Waterfest if you ask me & Des was apologetic to me over something but I told him it's ok & that I understand his situation .

Dan wanted me to stay & hang around the place for a while cos I needed to get some stuff back from him in which I'm ok with it . Hui Li was in a way not ok with it cos she wanted to get home fast to watch football -.- . He went back to the carpark cos he forgot to bring the last few pieces of the stuff that he supposed to pass back to me.

Around this time , there were some people behind me asking the guys for their autographs & all . Just then , there was this guy who was at the back of me & he looked kinda familiar so I asked him whether is he Saha or not & woo spot on he's !

I introduced myself & Hui Li & shook his hand & wow , finally got to meet Saha , da man ! I have been communicating with him for a while via MySpace & at least , managed to see how he really looks like in person.

He's really nice & while talking to him for a while , asking him stuff like how's his left foot & all . Glad that his foot's recovering .

We 3 talked for a while before he left the place as I think he wanted to go back home to watch the football matches & so probably the next time I see him again , will be at the LIME Sonic Bang I supposed.

Dan came back around this time from getting the last few pieces of the stuff from his car he supposed to give me & we both walked to the other side of the ecogarden where there was a little mini penthouse of sorts where the rest of Electrico were there.

& then when I reached the place , Des was outside & haha he was so cute in that he asked me to open 1 of my hands & he poured out a lot of Electrico badges from his pockets & same thing goes for my other hand too haha but dude thanks a bunch much appericated while Dan was scouting around the place for the rest to help me autographed my things , no wait , in fact someone's things , not mine.

Something went wrong with the silver pen that I brought along so at the end , have to make do with a maker which was quite crap & not to mention the autographed album sleeves were smudged but that's ok , hopefully that someone will understand my plight :)
& around this time , Dan was introducing me to his best friend Mat in which I recongised from the pics that Dan sent me a while back & that was pretty cool in seeing Mat eariler , nice one & I fished out from my bag a packet of durian chips & gave it to Dan haha , salty flavor to be precised (if it's not that , it will be sweet in flavor eee) cos I mockingly promised him that I will get a packet or 2 for him when I go to Genting in which I did heh

He asked me whether I want a chip or 2 in which I said no cos I don't like to eat durians . He gave Amanda but she also don't want . Guess that she doesn't like durians too.

After my things got settled , he was talking to Hui Li in asking her on what JC she's planning to enrolled into during the 1st 3 months in the JC posting stint programme & I was asking Dan where Leonard's as I didn't see him around where the sound system were set up & all cos usually it's Leonard that does all this for Electrico . Turns out that he's on vacation & was asking him details on the LIME Sonic Bang but at the moment he doesn't have any further details on it but that's ok , in days to come I will know more hur hur
Was asking Dan how come eariler he knows that I'm in the venue already & he said that he has hidden abilities . Erm right -.- but nah it was because when I arrived eariler , there wasn't that many people around so he managed to spot me when I was entering the ecogarden . Chey , what hidden abilities , what a joker haha in a good way of course !

An hour or so later , everyone started to leave & Dan was asking me whether he wanna give me & Hui Li a ride home in his car in which I thought it was really sweet for him to do that & somemore my house's quite near TSC so why not .

Everyone all walked towards the car park in which Dave was in front talking to Dan about some things & I walked a bit faster telling Dave that I will be going for the LIME Sonic Bang . Hui Li was asking Dave what time it will start in which Dave doesn't know & then he said she should asked me instead cos I pratically know everything about them haha . Er probably a thing or 2 but everything ? Nah..

The rest were loading the reminding few of their gear to a car in which me & Hui Li proceeded to say our goodbye's to Des , Amanda , Dave . Didn't see Will around though , he must have went home already -.- & I didn't realised that TSC's so dark & scary at night , gee...

Which left only me , Hui Li & Dan . I followed Dan to the car park as to where his car's & wahaha , his car's damn stylo & shiok . He was carrying his guitar case which was so heavy , even heavier than the softball gear that Hui Li would carried during her soft ball days .

She can't even lift it up . Me , I didn't dared to cos I was afraid that my back would be strained again & around this time , this dude called Caleb (or so I think) helped Dan to load the rest of his gear into the boot .

Luckily Dan's carboot's big cos the last time I remembered , I had to carry & hold Linda's gear after I went for Lunarin's gig in which she eventually sent me home but no offense about that Linda :)

When I commented about that , Dan laughed . Ha who wouldn't ? & this point in time , Caleb left . Not sure where he went though , I think it was McDonalds or something.

& this point in time , Hui Li & I went inside Dan's car & she in a way sabo me cos I wanted her to sit in the front but eventually it was me that became the 'bait' of sorts cos not sure why but it seems like she's scared of Dan or something , weird.

& I tell you , his car's interiors's so stylish & posh . Even the brand of his car's & Hui Li was commenting that his car got quite a lot of cows being plastered pratically at every corner haha

I told him that the water bottles that I left at the security check were still there so he offered to wait in the car while me & Hui Li went to claim them back & coming back , I felt like such an idiot in that I was walking to 1 junction & then I suddenly realised that there were not a flight of stairs so aka I almost walked to my doom :O

Thankfully , I was quick & walked further down to where the real stairs were while Hui Li just erm jumped down -.- while I eventually returned where Dan was waiting inside the car.

Was nice of Dan to give me & Hui Li back home cos after that he wanted to go to Clementi to have Nasi Lemak with Jacq & surprisely he said that he passed by my place quite a few times but he doesn't really know where I stayed haha in which at this point , I have to direct him as to where to go & all . So much for sitting in the front & his car system's quite a nag as I forgot to wear the seatbelt so there was this weird sound coming from the system , so bothersome tsk

It was only til I put it on then the noise stopped . Talked to Dan on somemore issues , in which 1 of them was about Hady Mirza cos yesterday on 987FM , Hady was co-hosting the top10 with Daniel Ong & Daniel Ong was saying that Hady's self titled CD already went plantium so I voiced my opinions about it to Dan & yeah no surprises about it seeing that the situation for both Hady & Taufik's debut are the same 'ol same 'ol .

& funny enough , Hui Li was talking to Dan about anime , of all things -.- . Now no surprises there seeing that Hui Li's an anime groupie & about 10-15 mins later or so , I already reached the bus stop which was near my house cos like what I said , I lived quite near TSC.

& before that , me & Hui Li said our goodbye's to Dan & he thanked me once again in coming to see Electrico perform in which it's no biggie as it's the least I can do to show my apperication & support & that I said to him I will see him next weekend at the LIME Sonic Bang.

Aside from minor hiccups here & there , with the sound system acting weird & all , I had a wonderful & hella good time . At least the fun masked my otherwise pain in which I'm currently going though & yes both gigs were fanastic !

Fanastic ? You can say that again , you bet I do !
