{Bar None Rock Affair Soundcheck & Before Gig Details}

I arrived at the hotel around 4.45pm ++ or so & man it was SO cold like iterally both in the hotel lobby & inside Bar None! & I thought the cold indoor weather that I experienced everyday in school was bad.

Dan , Amanda & Des came around like 5.20pm ++ or so . I followed them down to Bar None cos I want to see how & what they do during the soundcheck . The members of opening act Auburn Epiphany were already inside when I went downstairs & they were nice people , said hi to them & even talked to the lead singer Inch Chua a while in the toilet (of all places ! can you imagine ??)

As for the fact that I never been to a soundcheck , so didn't really know what to expect but essentially what they do is to set up the equipment & test the sound system & played some songs while testing.

Dave was the last person in the band to come for the soundcheck & when everything was settled , the soundcheck began.It lasted almost 2 hours or so . Some of the songs they did during soundcheck were Only Where I'm Going , Electricorp. & a bit of Love In New Wave & Good Time.

After the soundcheck concluded or so , I asked the guys to help me in the favours that I asked them for & they were so nice in helping me in them & this time around , managed to talk to them a bit more than last time so it was a really cool feeling while I was sitting at the long stool while they were helping me out .

While that happened , I saw Leonard's friend Elsa & I recongise her from the conversations she exchanged with Leonard on MySpace . She's so pretty & it's not fair I tell you ! but she's a nice person .

Amanda likes to design stuff from what she told me & was glad that she was designing the envelopes & then Des also helped too while also helping out Auburn Epiphany during their soundcheck .

Around this time , I showed Amanda the 'surprise' 1st which's I let her hear my current ringtone in my phone & I think she's more than surprised when I played that for her to listen . Or so I think lah . I asked Dave about his phone cos I realised that he wasn't using the same phone as the rest & told/asked him is it because he smashed his old phone which resulted in him using a different one.

After they helped me out , everyone except Dan & Will went out to have dinner at the food court & before that , I saw that they had a guest list at the counter cos security was checking who's who in the guest list & guess what ? my name was on it among many others haha

I was like wow , so damn nice of them to put my name in the guest list so yup you guess it , I don't need to pay for cover charge at all wahaha

I didn't realised that Leonard was actually on a diet or so I think cos what I ordered really tempted him to go & ordered the stuff that I had for dinner ! so real sorry ! & Dave was going on about the huge portions of food that Amanda , Leonard & he had when they were in LA a few months ago when they flew there to do the mastering for the album . & also going on something about a big fat burrito that's so big like iterally .

The food court was quite crowded to the extent that Dave joked that he wanted to go & buy Burger King & that he will eat it at the road side -.- . I thought he was just kidding but when I returned back , he really did bought Burger King ! Go figure !

Amanda was sitted beside me on the left while Dave was sitted beside my right . Des was sitted in front of me & oddly enough , Amanda , Des & I ordered the same stuff from the same stall !

Not really the same stuff but almost except that I ordered japanese curry with rice while the other 2 ordered it with udon noodles.

While everyone was eating , I played the ringtone & let the rest hear . I even put the demos that they did inside my phone too ! Was kinda surprised when Dave told me that the guys didn't like Everybody Sing & that he actually wanted to put that song inside the album !

Don't know why they don't like it cos I do but yeah it was pretty cool seeing their reactions when I played it & then around this time , Dave was telling everyone that I know what happened to his old phone & Leonard was saying that I know everything ! Even Amanda & Des doesn't really know what happened to Dave's old phone hahaha

Well , not really man . I don't really know everything , I hear bits & pieces from here & there but I think Dave's gonna cobble Dan big time cos Dan was the 1 who told me about this haha

Apparently , the S'pore Idol contestants did Electrico's I Want You & Runaway today during the performance show . Everyone was like !!! when we found out about it during dinner & it was quite hilarious , started to make some jokes & imagining how their reditions sound like & from Elsa's friend's sms , I Want You was butchered by Paul Twohill big time HAHA

& then everyone made their way back to Bar None where both bands have to prepare for both gigs .
