MTV Asia has been airing Electrico's Love In New Wave & it has been great so far seeing the video in the morning before I head to school . Even yesterday when I was sweeping the floor in my house , I stopped 1/2 way just to watch the video.

I like the video & the song , only thing's that the ending of the video kinda spoilt the whole scene in which Des & Desiree were dancing in a really CHEESY manner . OK it's cheesy but cute . Then again I can't dance to save myself so good for them haha but yes it's cool that mtv asia has been playing their video & they gave a credible review of Hip City on their website which's http://mtvasia.com/Review/CD/C20060630001431.html .

At least nothing really negative was written , I just was hoping that they can give it a 9/10 instead of a 7 as it's definitely 1 of the very few sophomore albums that's just darn good that it hurts !

I watched High School Musical on Sun & I LOVE IT & what's more , Disney Channel's gonna show an encore telecast this Sun . I'm still pondering whether should I watch it again or not cos the movie's really good , it's 2 hours long & I love all the songs that were featured in it & it's definitely 1 of the better movies I had watched so far , for this year that's.

& now in a way I understand why the movie & the soundtrack did really well in the US & did I mention the lead actor & actress are very good looking & they compliment each other really well & hopefully there will be a sequel coming up in due time.

I can't believe I have already started life in Uni for a month now . I'm still trying to settle in & adapt as I can tell you that it's definitely NOT easy & somehow or another , I'm struggling with my subjects & believe it or not , the 1 that I feel that I have to struggle with the most is English!

I know , it's very ironic isn't it ? What's more funny's that I failed English (D7) yet I barely managed to scrap though my Chinese (C6) in my O levels & somemore my command in Chinese is not really good .

Uni life for sure's not a bed of roses & now for starters , in a way I have to give up going on the net/MSN/coming online to blog daily & only can limit myself coming on the net during the weekend & stuff but I see how things go.

1 thing I know's I will miss the frequent daily MSN & email chats that I exchanged with my net friends.

Went to watch Just My Luck after school finished for today & honestly the movie was not as bad as I thought it will be even though it unfortunately flopped when it opened in US & to me it was like Freaky Friday Part 2 .

Angeline watched the movie specially just to see McFly whom star as themselves in the movie . I watched it cos of the lead actor who's the very dishy & handsome Chris Pine but overall not too bad , at least I didn't wasted S$8 for nothing & it has been a while since I last watched a movie . The last time I watched was Sky High in Nov 05.

Sigh , I think I'm starting to struggle big time with 4 of my subjects & already feeling the fact that my classmates are really smart . I don't know why I just say that but I'm definitely going to work out on something to manage my time proper .

Today after accounting lessons finished & me staying back in campus to do my accounting homework , I made my way to HMV to buy my copy of Electrico's Hip City & guess what ? I was the 2nd person in line to grab a copy in which it arrived at 4.45pm !

The stock arrived at 4.15pm actually so I had to wait for a while before laying my hands on it & before I go on , my friends & I who're fans of their music , already heard 9 outta 12 tracks on their CD via their MySpace account so pretty much or less expected how good their sophomore album's & I couldn't be more wrong !

The album sleeve of this & their debut album were designed by Slantboy & I prefer this album cover of Hip City , it's much much more cooler & sleeker.

& guess what I saw on the Thank You list inside the sleeve ? They put my name on it among others ! I was shocked yet flattered . They really shouldn't have done that but still I appericate it thanks guys !

Hip City's definitely more hip & edgier than their debut album . They kicked off the album with the cheekily titled Electricorp. (originally called Money Don't Matter) & subsequent tracks like Walk , Teenage Queen ,Only Where I'm Going are great rocking tracks & also the same thing goes for their 1st single Love In New Wave.

The title track's also brillant too , makes me appericate S'pore more seeing that they deemed it Hip City ! & another reason to grab a copy of Hip City's an amazing duet they did with 1 of biggest rock band from The Philippines aka Rivermaya titled All The World (originally called Dream World) & that song apperantly made Maggie broke down in tears when she listened to it on their MySpace account.

& I have to say that Rivermaya is freaking awesome when they performed live when I went to catch their very 1st showcase last Oct at Bar None in which they performed with Electrico . Their performance was superb beyond words !

Hello reminds me in the same vein as I See The Light but even better . I'm just pondering as to how come the song's in as they contributed that song which was deemed an 'unreleased' track to the For Good compliation ? hmmm.. but I don't really bother so much about it as I love Hello . Fever Fly's gorgeous as well , love the melodies to it.

I know I mentioned before that I didn't really like Stay Away but now I LOVE IT . I don't know why but I think Stay Away sounds better on the CD than on the website haha

There were no stinkers on the album only grouse/s I wanna rise's that I thought We're Not Made In The USA should have more bite in that it sounded a bit too tame as compared to the live version which was really rockin & Dave wrote the word 'bitch' in the lyrics HAHA , go him & I find Little Girl a bit of a bore probably cos I don't really like moody music/songs.Just like in their previous album , I don't like Feed The Cats as it's a strange & weird song.

Then again I might be wrong , probably I will give Little Girl a few more spins & I can definitely tell you my personal fave on the album aka TEENAGE QUEEN !

Still on whole , BRILLANT that's all I can say & as of now , I can say that it's a definite MUST buy album of 2006 ! & what sophomore slump ? They definitely don't suffer that syndrome that's for sure !

1 more day before Electrico will be releasing their brand new album Hip City & Just My Luck will be opening in cinemas too tomorrow . I'm planning to watch the movie over the weekend & I will head to HMV after school to grab my hands on a copy of Hip City.

I called HMV this morning & they told me that it's best that I call them up tomorrow before I make my way there just in case Universal Music decided (they better NOT) to delay shipping the CDs to HMV to be sold .

I already heard 3/4 of the material in Hip City . Except for 3-4 songs that I haven't heard , I heard the rest & it's freakin awesome & rocks . There were only 1 or 2 tracks that I didn't really like but probably it might grow on me after I listen to them again.

Has been a while since I last saw Dan & poor thing he's still buried underground with his work & he hasn't found an 'extra' to help him . I last saw him ... around April or something ? Yeah I think so , I would love to see & meet up with him again soon as he's a really nice person (or so he think he's ) No I'm just joking he's really a nice person . Jenny & Maggie can vouch that for me.

Jenny told me to do a review of Hip City after I listen to the tracks provided if I have the time . I thought why not ? Look out for my review of Hip City in the days to come but I have to warn you , I'm not good when comes to being a critic so beware.

ITE sent me another letter today stating more details for the upcoming awards/graduation ceremony for the East network in which I wanna go & attend it cos this time it involves 2 awards instead of 1 .

Eariler around May or so , they informed me that I'm getting a Certificate Of Merit which's basically well a cert & then later on around June , they mailed me another letter saying that I have obtained a course medal + the COM so I thought wow that's pretty something & both awards are determined & decided based solely on my results that I obtained in my course in ITE.

It will be held at ITE College East , Simei at 3pm on 6th Sept , Wed . So it means that I don't have to take any day off even though it's a school day & on 19th Aug , Sat , I have to attend a briefing on this matter at ITE College West , Dover .

I showed that letter to my mum & she's willing to take 1/2 day leave on 6th Sept & I think my dad wants to go as well . Might as well as ITE stated I can bring 2 guests at max on that day . I haven't step inside ITE Simei yet & the place's HUGE , it's so scary from the exterior building I seen away from the Simei MRT.

& the letter itself's weird . They stated 6th Sept 2005 instead of 6th Sept 2006 -.- & there's a number/person to contact for more details & when I called that number eariler , what happened ? it's a residental number & the person over the line told me that I called the wrong number -.-

If that's lame & funny I don't know what else it's but yeah I appericate what ITE has done for me.

Came across this in the July issue of Teenage under the Horoscope section & this's what it says about people who're Capricorn folks.

Disney Channel has finally decided to show season 3 episodes of MM on weekends too . I caught 1 yesterday that I missed when it was aired on a Fri .

House Of The Zombies

"MOM takes Martin, Java, Billy and Diana on a camping trip. A storm unleashes and they're forced to take shelter on a mysterious cabin in the woods. What they don't know is that the cabin was built by a man for Clarissa, the girl he loved but she didn't love him back. Throughout the night Mom, Java, Billy and Diana become posessed by the spirit. Will Martin be able to save his possessed friends or will he become a new victim for the grievous man? "

I thought this episode's great in that they showed a few sides to MOM with her crazy & weird antics & I also think that she kinda taken her official job title a bit overboard but glad that she decided not to at the end of the episode cos it just seems funny & silly on her part.

But generally I think this episode's only so so . I thought the part where the trees in the forest came to life , reminds me of Totally Spies's Nature Nightmare .

I feel sorry for the guy/spirit who built the cabin for his girl but eventually she didn't love him back . So basically he was dumped & his heart got ripped to sheds just like any love relationship gone sour.

As a result , after he died some 100 years ago , his spirit was kinda attached to the cabin that he built for her . & I thought I'm the only 1 who can't let go of things that easily , this dude has been holding on for 100 years hoping that his girl will come back to him but eventually she didn't. Man...

I caught another brand new episode of Martin Mystery on Fri & this time , it's 1 of the scariest episodes I ever watched of MM . The content of it's enough to freak you out I think :

Day Of The Shadows Part 1:

"Jenny (not the Jenny I know) is walking while she hears something chasing after her and she thinks that is Martin who is trying to scare her. At Torrington Academy , Martin's doing a ghost machine and Diana and Jave arrived with movies and books, Martin tells them that he is busy. At night Billy was scared to dead, so he turns the light on.

In the library , Diana was studying and she decided to skip her homework and fell asleep, back in Martin's room he also fell asleep. The next day Martin wakes up late and run to class but there was nobody , then Diana show up also late, both of them walked around the whole school but nobody was there. They decided to check the streets whether they can figure what is going on. They see a girl running away, Martin tried to stop the girl and she ask him what he did to the people.

She introduced herself as Caitlin , she and Martin have the same attitude & drama , Diana was jealous, they both seen to like each other and it's the first time a girl ever likes Martin. While they were still in the same restaurant , a shadow attack them and they got Diana but Martin and Caitlin escaped and they saw a car coming it was Billy, they all head to Caitlin's room. Billy notice that they were not captured by the shadows because they leave their light on, the shadows came back and got Caitlin, it shocked Martin & the rest's TO BE CONTINUED"

This's 1 episode that's a 10 on the freak scale meter & after watching it , it got me thinking whether will my own shadow be able to capture me & drag me into the 'shadow neither world but it was cute seeing that FINALLY a cute & cool chick digs Martin (for a change) & somemore both of them have the same attitudes & character with each other.

I almost fainted when Caitlin asked Martin & Diana whether are they a couple or not & naturally both of them puke big time as well saying that they're NOT & that they're step siblings but in the original comic plot , they were engaged to be married so I leave you to that .

Honestly I prefer them getting engaged instead of being step siblings as in this episode & several other ones such as Eternal Christmas , they do show signs & actions that they behave more than just 'normal' step siblings.

Even before I started watching MM on a regular basis , I also thought that they were lovers cos their surnames are different to begin with & the way that they behave & oh apparently Martin's 16 & Diana's 14.

Oh well , next Fri's part 2 of Day Of The Shadows , I wanna see it for sure & I wonder how does the Shadow Lord looks like hmmm...

omg Electrico are gonna release their brand new CD Hip City very very soon ! How soon's soon ? Does next Thurs sounds great to you & it's also the same date that Just My Luck will open in here !

They posted up details of Hip City & tomorrow they will be featured in the Life section of The Straits Times on the front cover that's & they posted up the video to the 1st single off Hip City which's Love In New Wave .

I'm gonna watch the video after this & ahhh I'm so excited right now for the release of Hip City . I need to preorder 1 copy like NOW !

You know what I'm SO into at the moment ? High School Musical ! Disney Channel has been airing the trailers of the original movie & several of the songs on their channel over & over again & from what I have seen & heard , it sounds really & look good ! The lead characters are really good looking & the male lead actor Zac Efron is cute & boyish too !

I really want to buy a copy of the soundtrack & I phoned HMV up & what happened ? They told me they didn't carry the title but they wouldn't mind to preorder a copy for me but at a price of course seeing that it's an import title from the US .

& guess what ? It will cost me a staggering S$47 !! in which I have to pay S$10 as a deposit that I cannot get back & I have to wait for 3 weeks for the CD to arrive . So not worth it if you ask me . I think shelling out S$47 for a CD containing 11 tracks or so is ridiculous .

If you think that's bad , well if you want to preorder a specially import CD of McFly's Wonderland from HMV , it will set you S$63 for only something like 11 tracks.

Bah :( but I'm counting down the days in which High School Musical's going to air on 25th June . The movie has done really well in US & so does the soundtrack which was no1 in the Billboard Top 200 Album Charts for 2 weeks & at press time , it has sold over 2 million copies.

I wanna see what's the appeal on both the movie & the soundtrack . It might be the story plot or something else . I wonder what will it be.

I don't know if it's just me or do I find the stuff showed on TV & also being on the net started to bore me a bit ?

Cos all the time , I always watch the same old shows that were being aired on TV on encore mode & the websites I always frequent whenever I'm on the net , are always the same old ones . I don't know if this's considered a good or bad sign , it might be both .

Thankfully , I'm also not the sort of person who goes clubbing/pubbing & stay outta the night in the wee hours of the morning . I rather use that time to do something else that's more pratical .

I had a HUGE feast for the whole of yesterday . For lunch , my whole family went to eat at Noble House & man , their buffet lunch spread was fanastic & also the standard of the food they served was wonderful . & I L.O.V.E the double boiled pigeon soup mashed with chestnuts that they had , I had 2 bamboo cups of it

& then for dinner , Ah Yee & Auntie Juat Ngoh brought the 3 of us out for dinner . Been a while since I last had a meal with the both of them so it was a nice change & I had lots of pasta dishes + italian desserts (a 1st for me & each plate of it was S$8.90 gak :S) + MORE desserts (aka a slice of chocolate cake + a slice of marble cheese cake) yesterday night heh heh

OMG omg I don't believe this ! ITE sent me a letter today & said that I have won ANOTHER award ! omg omg omg ! *trying to calm down now*

& this time , this award that I will be collecting together with my Certificate Of Merit , will be a course medal !!! in recongising the fact that I did really well in my Business IT course during the last 2 years , they're awarding me the course medal in which I will be collecting both the medal & cert during ITE College East graduation in Sept !

I let out a big scream when I opened the letter & before that I was wondering why they would be sending me another letter again & my god , I really didn't expect this at all . I'm still in a state of shock as of now .

& yes I know now I have quite a number of awards from ITE under my belt & looks like when the date draws nearer , I have to take a day of absence from my course & yeah I already SMS my former form teacher to let her know about this piece of good news & needless to say I'm grinning like a Chesire cat now...

lol just when I thought Desmond made the wrong mistake in calling me yesterday , he called me AGAIN during the time when I was having lunch haha & I know Maggie you must be !!! again I can't blame you on that & something tells me that she's going to get mighty jealous on me once again .

& this time it's apparently because he accidentally pressed some buttons on his handphone in which leads to him calling me again by accident & this time I did managed to dig up somemore info asking him about the collboration that they're doing with Rivermaya which's really exciting & yes I definitely can't wait for the album to hit stores man . I need to go preorder a copy from them !

& my god , last Fri , I was attending my graduation ceremony in ITE Dover ! That's scary on how time goes by so fast.

& eariler while I was eating my dinner & watching mtv , they were showing McFly's I Got You in which the video was very boring aka concert snippets of them performing etc BUT they also added in parts where the movie they have a starring role in which's Just My Luck !

To be honest , I don't really like I Got You which's a bit weak from the guys . I prefer their other songs in which people don't really know from them such as The Ballad Of Paul K , Ultraviolet & I think their music is good even though some people might not like them for being too teeny booper but I don't care.

Been downloading some music & I want to sing praises on Ashley Parker Angel . Ashley who ? If the name sounds familiar to you , that's cos he was 1/5 of the now disbanded boyband O Town who gave you the hits Liquid Dream , the soppy All Or Nothing .

I like Ashley's solo music & he recently released his debut album Soundtrack Of Your Life in which unfortunately I find the song of the same title quite bland considering the fact that Soundtrack Of Your Life's his 2nd single after his fanastic awesome debut single Let U Go but maybe I give it a few more listens to Soundtrack Of Your Life , I might change my mind .

& now I understand why Crazy Beautiful's so well beautiful cos the song's really lovely & I like the melody & lyrics to it . That should have been released as Ashley's 2nd single if you ask me !
